“beautiful Riad, Good location, excellent hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

This is a beautiful Riad with a rooftop terrace and a clean and cool plunge pool. Our hosts Massimo and Georgina welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know about the Riad, the medina and how to stay safe. They were excellent hosts and most helpful. The rooms were comfortable , air conditioned and beautifully furnished. The breakfast on the terrace was very good and Georgina and her staff made a beautiful dinner for us on 2 occasions.
The Riad is in a quiet location and only a short walk to the Jemaa el Fna and the souks, close to a licensed terrace bar and taxis.

Our stay in Marrakech was wonderful...and what really made it for us was staying at this Riad. Whether you want to relax in a Hammam, choose from a wide range of activities, or just soak up the city wandering the streets and eating in great restaurants, the kind and very knowledgable hosts Giorgina and Massimo will point you in the right direction, or organise everything for you. The Riad itself is beautiful and all the staff make you feel very welcome. The breakfast is delicious and eating dinner here at least one night is a must! Once you have, your likely to again...
What can we say except thank you to Giorgina, Massimo and all the staff at Clos des Arts for making sure we had such a lovely holiday x

I travelled to the Riad for a few days at the end of June, with my husband, for a romantic getaway. Prior to our arrival, Massimo, the owner, contacted me directly to see if I would like him to arrange a transfer-the rate was very reasonable and we agreed. We were also asked if we wanted an evening meal the first night we arrived. Once again, extremely reasonably priced. This made us think that the customer service was something exceptional-and we were delighted to find a professional, helpful taxi driver waiting for us when we arrived. Moreover, Massimo himself, met us at the car park local to the Riad and escorted us back pointing out local landmarks so we would not get lost. When we arrived at the Riad we met Massimo's lovely wife Giorgina who was gracious in welcoming us with mint tea. Massimo and Giorgina provided us with a helpful map and an introduction to Marrakech which was very informative.

As agreed we ate at the Riad and the food was fantastic-we ate again a couple of nights later and, again, the food was exceptional. The breakfasts were wonderful-fresh, filling-the staff very friendly and helpful. So, the food, the service and the Riad itself are better than 5*. It was my birthday whilst I was there and the generosity of the owners was something I haven't experienced before in a hotel; they presented me with stunning flowers, a delicious cake and some beautiful slippers-they were generous, warm and professional.

The Riad itself is very well located and it is a beautiful building which is hard to describe. The atmosphere is peaceful and unobtrusive-there is a calm and serene feeing throughout the rooms. It is exquisitely presented and does look like it may have fallen out of the covers of a magazine. The Riad, the owners and the staff who work there are amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend this stunning hotel to anyone thinking of going to Marrakech. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to contact the Riad directly for availability.

With its prime location (five minutes to the local square), beautiful decor and friendly staff, Riad le Clos dest Arts would enhance any city visit. It's somewhat removed from the more commercial hotels that surround the medina, but all the better for it. In fact, we felt more like guests in someone's home than customers in a vast chain hotel. The decor is understated but tasteful, with small - yet thoughtful - touches throughout the whole riad. We ate dinner the first night and then had breakfast each morning and all the meals were excellent, always using simple but fresh ingredients. When we wanted peace and quiet we were left to our own devices, but if we needed help, they were ready with a range of options and sage advice.

I'd mentioned it was my wife's birthday in passing during the booking process, and on the day, she was presented with flowers, a cake and beautiful jasmine slippers after breakfast, completely unbidden by me. We received the same treatment later that day at the (excellent) Pepe Nero restaurant, after Giorgina had told them why we were coming - more cake, prosecco etc.

I doubt we could have made a better choice and it really did enhance what was a truly memorable first visit to Africa for my wife.

Beautiful Riad, lovely staff (friendly and helpful without being over bearing), amazing breakfast, great location. Need anymore?! If we had to find a fault, it would be the lack of wave machine in the dunk pool.

This Riad is simply great! Their owners (Giorgina and Massimo) will treat you like real guests to their hone and the rest of the staff is incredible. The place is almost magical and every single detail there is carefully cared. I could keep writing here for long but if a review is to give you a good advice, then THIS is the place to stay!

After so much indecision and dithering we finally decided on this place due to the reviews on Trip Advisor.... I'm so glad we did!

It's a wonderful place - not just the actual accommodation , but everything about it from the ambience to the people that worked there! It's also conveniently located as not too far from the square and as two single females we felt safe walking to and from riad late at night.

Giorgina (the owner) was a fabulous host, we were made to feel very welcome and the time she spent providing background information and other practical advice was invaluable.

All in all : a perfect place to stay!!
