“My sweet home in Marrakech!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

Very warm welcome, nice Moroccan style room and the best thing was Antoine's kind assistance during our stay.

Our tour, restaurants and spa were all arranged by Antoine as per our request, we had no problem going around the city because of him even though it was our fort visit in Marrakech.

We had great chat with Antoine and he made our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Great location to main attractions and restaurants, definitely will go back to my sweet home Limouna when I am back to Marrakech.

In Marrakech it makes more difference where you stay than it does in most cities, because as a visitor here you are - and want to be - more reliant on your hotel and its staff than in simpler places. Marrakech is complex! Other reviewers refer with fondness to Antoine for a reason: he is a true host and his knowledge of Marrakech is superb.

This 5-bedroom riad is a perfect place from which to base your adventures; it is well situated inside the walls of the Medina and a brief walk away from the crazy central square. We stayed here Feb. 10 - 17, 2013 which is a slower season because it is "winter" with temps from 45F at night to 70F in midday.

We were the only North Americans here; other guests included a German couple; an English couple; and three women from Japan. It would be totally cool to rent the whole place for an extended family vacation, but you would have to reserve that well in advance. This is not a bus-load type of place; leave that to the large impersonal hotels in the new town outside the Medina.

Riad Limouna is immaculately clean, very pretty, and an exceptionally good value. The photos on its website are a good representation of what you will find here; yes, it is a beautiful place to stay. It will make you happy.

Room Tip: All the rooms are very nice. As with all riads, they face inward, with windows and doors opening tow...

I will keep this review short, but Riad Limouna was everything other people said. My son and I spent 4 nights there in January 2013 and it was just awesome. Antoine arranged for us to be picked up at the airport, then he gave us a walking tour of the Riad and the old city. It was so nice to be "initiated" to the Old Medina with Antoine because you do not want to do that on your own on the first time. Antoine's recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, where to get cash, and bargaining in the Souk were all so informative and great.

We invited Antoine for dinner on our 3rd night and we had a great time at an adjacent restaurant named Mama Ti Lee.

The breakfasts are awesome (served by Siham), and we had one dinner on our arrival date that was excellent. Nice Moroccan cabernet with a french/moroccan dinner.

I cannot wait to take my wife there!

Room Tip: All the rooms are upstairs. Some are suited for 2 beds.

Dear Imad,
It was a pleasure to meet you and your son, we had a good and funny time at the Riad Limouna.
Thank you for your big comment, the next host will appreciate it and thank you for your kind invitation to the Mama Ti Lee restaurant, it's a "secret" address in a medina, but a good one...
See you with your wife the next time!

This small 5 bedroom riad is very well situated in a quiet location just a short walk to the square. Each morning lovely freshly made breakfasts were served. We also had an excellent FrenchMoroccan dinner at the riad. Antoine looked after all our needs from providing advice, mapping out where we wanted to go, to finding rope and packaging tape when we bought too many rugs! Delicious mint tea on demand is a welcome bonus. Very highly recommended.

I had the pleasure to stay at Riad Limouna during five days during our round trip in Morocco. The stay included all things that I find important staying in a hotel/ guesthouse; Authenticity, freshness, excellent service, quietness, feeling of home and beautiful surroundings.
Our host Antoine took great care of us by arranging transfer to the airport and to the coast of Marocko and also by recommending the best restaurants, places to visit and to shop in Marrakech.
Staying at Riad Limouna gives you the best possible location in the Medina (Old town), close to the market and big square and also some of the best restaurants. Breakfast includes fresh bread, pancakes, yoghurt and juice. Free coffee and tea during the days gives you the possibility to take a relaxing moment on the beautiful terrace.
Marrakech can be intense at times; coming back to the riad was a relaxing contrast, always warm and relaxing.
I warmly recommend staying at Riad Limouna. Antoine’s hospitality and excellent service made our Marrakech experience to a fantastic experience!

We just came back after 10 days travelling around in Morocco. The stay at Limouna was so good! Antoine is very very helpful. No matter what it is he can solve it for you or give you an advice on where to go or what to do. It is a very warm and calm environment in the riad and it is exactly what you need after been walking around in the Medina all day. Antoine will give you advice on what museums to visit, good restaurants, good quality shops and so on. Monsieur Antoine is such a great host; very relaxed, friendly and good sense of humour. The breakfast was great with different breads or yoghurts everyday, the teracce was really nice and the rooms are beautiful. Very clean and well taken cared of. A lots of love in this riad! And if you are thinking about visiting the Atlas Mountains - ask Antoine to book it for you.

We had a 4 night stay at the Riad Limouna over the Christmas period as a family of four. Antoine, the owner of the Riad helpfully arranged an airport transfer/pickup service as well as a delicious traditional meal for our arrival. We found him to be an extremely helpful resource for information about the area and we would often go to him to advise on shops, restaurants and attractions. He went the extra mile on occasions by assisting us in ordering taxis in the evening and providing easy to use maps to navigate the often confusing, narrow streets of Marrakech.

We had two rooms which were both clean and comfortable and we also made use of the rooftop terrace which provided sun loungers, tables and chairs. Breakfast every morning was great and we felt extremely welcomed into Antoine's home. It's very close to the main square and is easy to find your way back in the evening. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering a visit to Marrakech
