We went with another couple. Our suite (room 205) was lovely but my friends room 107 although large - didnt have any windows overlooking the courtyard and there was a unpleasant smell in the bathroom. They were immediately shown 2 other rooms and picked 106 which they felt was more pleasant. The hotel recommended a personal tour guide. Unfortunately his English was quite poor and having him with us for 4 hours was a bind. We complained to the hotel on our return and they immediately refunded us 50%. The guide took us to a herbalist centre and the salesman was very good and we all spent rather a lot of money. All the pots had a website address www.rosa-huile.ma which made us feel assured that when we got back to the UK we could follow up with any queries. Unfortunately the website does not exist and their email does not work.
Marrakech was a great experience. We ate in four different restaurants and they were all good.

We stopped for 4 nights in February and booked a premier double room direct with the hotel. There was an offer on their website which gave one night free in four night stays which meant our room worked out at about £75 per night. There was also a choice a free taxi either to or from the airport. We decided to be collected on arrival. After a long wait to clear customs we went through to the arrivals hall where our driver was waiting. We arrived at night and our first view of the streets of Marrakesh was unbelievable. There were people EVERYWHERE! Transfer time to Les Borjs was around 20 minutes. Location was superb - within the medina walls and a 10-15 minute walk to the main square Djeema el Fna.

When we were shown to our room we were absolutely delighted. It was brilliant. Very spacious and very clean. Fresh flower petals had been thrown around - superb! The separate bathroom was also very spacious and very clean. We had a lovely view of the courtyard (see photo). This was an excellent place to sit in the warm day or the cooler evening. There was also a pool area with a cafe where you could relax if so desired.

Breakfast was excellent with a cracking selection to choose from. I had freshly made pancakes with honey every morning. Mandy had freshly made omelette. There is also a bar and a restaurant at the hotel. We ate once at the restaurant and the food was excellent, though slightly on the expensive side compared to what was available elsewhere. Alcohol was available at the bar which was often welcome after a "dry" day in the city.

At all times the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Marrakesh is a tremendous city with lots to offer. We will definitely return and will definitely use Les Borjs again.

Highly recommended - a superb experience!

This hotel provided all that we needed for a great short stay in Marrakech. Check-in was enhanced with the traditional mint-tea and Morrocan confections. Our room, adjoining a peaceful courtyard, was large, clean and tastefully furnished with a very well-appointed bathroom and a comfortable bed. Of particular note were fresh flowers,a plate of nuts, interesting toiletries, thick. absorbent towels and decorations of fresh rose petals. Breakfast served in a courtyard room was varied and interesting and included a choice of eggs, pancakes, cereals, fresh fruit, cheese, meat, croissants and delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. We tried the plat de jour in the evening and found both food and service excellent.
We were able to access most of the local attractions easily on foot from this hotel and though the traffic (bikes, donkey carts etc) was a bit hazardous, the changing street scenes were fascinating.
All the staff we met at Les Borjs were very friendly and helpful and it was great to return to this peaceful haven after a day in the turmoil of Marrakech! We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would love to return.

This lovely hotel rates as one of the best we have ever stayed in. Definately 4 star comfort and facilities. It's not austere and impersonal like some of the larger multinational chain hotels, but warm friendly and inviting. Absolutely first class. Every day our room was decorated with rose petals sprinkled and arranged artistically with care. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The restaurant is lovely and the standard of food is good. They do serve wine etc unlike many places.

What a great place Marrakesh is. Everyone is friendly and there is not too much hassle from traders. There is some begging but hey, these people are poor. We tried to give 10 dirham to as many needy souls as we could. The Moroccans struck us as a sophisticated and interesting people - getting on with their busy lives. We ate at the stalls in the Djamaa El Fna square and didn't get food poisoning!

We did a day trip to the coastal village of Essaouira which is much more tourist orientated and were happy to return to Marrakesh. Eating freshly grilled fish on the Essaouira waterfront was a highlight.

All in all a great trip!

Our stay did'nt start well booked a transfer from airport via hotel but driver did not turn up but taxi was same price so no real problem. On arrival staff very welcoming and the obligatory mint tea was served. Our room was very nice but the shower did not work we where told it was being fixed, 2 days later still no shower but the Management moved us to another room which was bigger but unfortunately the toilet leaked we where assured this would be repaired but it never was still it was nothing major so we put up with it. The hotel itself is peace and calm and the decor is done to the highest standard it was a real pleasure to go back to the hotel after being in the madness of the souks of Marrakech. Be warned stepping out of the main doors is a bit of a shock from wealth to poverty in one easy step. The staff are very polite and helpful and the restaurant is worth a visit food is great, breakfast is a buffet try the pancakes I could'nt get enough. Spa was good value and worth a visit and the pool is a good size but get them to heat it up water very cold this time of year. On the whole enjoyed our stay a little oasis where you can rest and unwind wish I could say the same for the rest of Marrakech but that has there say is another story.
