The riad was clean and very characterful, in an excellent location (a quiet street just off a main street, a few mins from the main square). The breakfasts were nice and the owners were polite and helpful. However, I have to admit I was a little surprised at their lack of knowledge/initial helpfullness regarding bus tickets to Essaouira. In the end Noel was very helpful and booked it for us on his ipad, since the public computer did not work. But it seemed as if noone had every travelled to Essaouira before and I have always found that hotels/guesthouses will generally sort this sort of thing out for you without any trouble. It was a bit of a faff and it did cause a little bit of stress which I was not expecting. Other people on the bus had their riads sort it out without fuss. When we left we had to pay 40 dirhams to a guy, organised by the riad, to take our bags up to the main square in a little trolley and flag a taxi for us - this seemed a bit excessive. Overall nice riad, but could have been a more relaxing experience - I would say the vibe is not quite as relaxed as others I stayed in on this trip. - Oh and the bed was extremely hard.
