Dar Charkia provides the perfect base from which to explore Marrakech. Lisa and Michael are on hand to make sure every little detail is attended to. The staff in the Riad are delightful and nothing is too much trouble. We took an amazing trip out to the Atlas mountains, all oragnised by Lisa to include a stunning lunch stopover. When the Souks get too much the roof terrace provides a tranquil retreat.

I did not want to leave! Dar Charkia is the most beautiful riad with the best staff and the owners Lisa and Michael are amazing! I am convinced that your stay in Marrakech will not be the same if you do not have them to guide you and share their great tips and tricks. I highly recommend Dar Charkia and I also recommend staying as long as you can! We stayed 6 nights and I didn't want to leave. Perfect location, walking distance to the souks, beautiful rooms, very clean, amazing service and a GREAT VALUE. I will make it back again for sure!! Thanks Lisa and Michael!! We miss you already!! One more thing...they organized some great tour guides for shopping and cultural tours:)

Dar Charkia is ideal for anyone who wants a Marrakech city break. We were met on arrival at the airport by our driver who quickly transported us to this gem of a riad. Lisa and Michael, the owners, gave us a very warm welcome with drinks and canapes. Lisa also offered us her wealth of experience on where to shop, eat and see the best that Marrakech has to offer. Her warm friendly staff where on hand to make sure our stay was as pleasurable as possible.

Myself and a friend recently stayed for four nights at the Dar Charkia.
The Dar Charkia is a beautiful riad, the courtyard and roof terrace are wonderful, and the decor throughout is lovely, the attention to detail is exceptional. Our room - the Berber suite - was very comfortable and the addition of little extras made it more special.
Lisa, Michael and all their staff are are very welcoming and the service they provide is excellent, Lisa's map and tips were very useful as was Lisa and Michael's knowledge of marrakech, which enhanced our visit.
Finally, I would recommend taking a trip to the Ourika valley and mountains - the views are stunning - as it is nice to escape the chaos of marrakech for a day!

Where do I start... This riad is fantastic and the service is personalised to each guest.
When booking our room, we received a long email with information about airport transfers, where to exchange currency, restaurant recommendations, day trips etc. We took full advantage of lisa's list and booked 2 restaurants, al fassia and the lotus privillege, which were both great experiences. We were also given a map which was our bible during our trip, the map is explained to you on arrival as Lisa marks on things that you should see and do.
Our room at the riad was very nicely decorated and was very large. I would definately recommend the douria suite again. Our bathroom had a large walk in shower and Lisa has thought of everything, we had a decent hairdryer, a sequinned shower cap, tweezers and sewing kit. Everything a girl needs!!
The breakfast that was served was really nice and you could take this on the roof terrace or in the main area on the ground floor, and there was quite a lot of choice. Mmhh yum yum yum.
All in all I would highly recommend this riad to anyone, perfect riad in a great location, with the most helpful and attentive staff.
