This house is paradise, I have just got back from a 4 day trip to Marrakech and I still have a huge grin on my face!!!

The city is beautiful and great to visit as it is a very busy place, and that is what makes Casa Taos perfect as you can leave the hustle and bustle of town after a hard day of negotiation in the Soukhs and then RELAX...

The house is a 10-15 minute taxi journey away from the centre of town and costs about 10-15 euro... when you reach Casa Taos you realise that not only has every tiny detail in the house and grounds has been meticulously perfected, also every tiny detail is taken care of to ensure your stay is memorable and amazing.

Each room is stunningly beautiful (best to check on the website as the pictures will show you how awesome they are!) we stayed in the matisse suite and it was stunning and as it was hot during the day you can open the room right up to have a fresh morning surrounded by orange trees and gardens... and in the evening as it gets chilly so can snuggle up in front of a roaring log fire...

The hammocks are perfect to relax in between the palm trees that was a favorite! and the best thing is there are so many areas around the grounds where you can sit, eat, relax, sleep, talk as every space has a snug, or a chez lounge to unwind on...

Now the two winning things for me that make this place the best, is the SERVICE and the FOOD.

Hicham is the most welcoming and warm host I have had in a long time, for someone who has never been to morrocc before it was great to have relaxed chats about the culture the history and the places to visit and the things to see, and because he has built and developed this amazing residence its lovely to sit and talk directly to the person who created casa taos... on top of that he and his incredibly helpful staff create the best meals...

all local produce (better than any restaurant in town!) and all cooked fresh how you like it.... we had this huge bowl of fresh lamb and vegetables cooked with cous cous and sumptuous wines... along with loads of great courses and sides... I think the tart starter Hicham gave us was the best... and another evening we wanted to try a Tajine so they made us a divine Tajine with prunes eggs and lamb it was perfect... bread baked freshly there and you eat in a big family kitchen around the table with other guests and sometimes alone so there is that mix of meeting others and privacy to enjoy your stay... and we loved the lemonade...

All in all we didn't want for anything all weekend, Hicham and Mohammad made sure our every need was taken care of, we had great rooms with awesome food in amazing surroundings... and we were able to also experience all that the city had to offer and explore the activities of the city and return and relax in the grounds of casa taos....

As a weekend break it was perfect and we will be back very very soon!

I don't know where to start with my description, Casa Taos and everything about Casa Taos is wonderful. It starts with the house itself, it is just stunning, those colours are so beautiful, the rooms are big and so tasteful furnished, the bathrooms huge. The pool is refreshing and always very clean and also very quite. And now save the best for last: Hicham, his family, Mohammed and the rest of the team....wonderful people, very serviceoriented but not pushy, they are always around...if you are lying by the pool and suddenly you think you would like a mint tea, just lift your head and I am sure, Mohammed is somewhere and will fulfill your wishes within seconds. If you need advice where to go for shopping or dinner, Hicham will recommend you the best places...but honestly (cross my heart), the best food was at Casa Taos, and we really tried a lots of very good restaurants. If Hichams's sister Sophia is around, she is a designer and a singer, and you would love to buy some awesome haute couture, maybe you can ask her to show you her beautiful clothes, just stunning (Sophia Charai) and also her music is awesome, got the CD's and wow ;-)
I will definitely go again, it feels like "home sweet home" and still you don't have to do anything :-)

Very hard to top earlier reviews, but Casa Taos is a truly wonderful place to stay.

Hachim & Karima have great flair for design & detail, backed up by a superb team, including the amazing Mohammed. It becomes a competition to see if you can order your own drinks etc, before Mohammed gets to you. Never quite managed to beat him though.

An oasis of beauty, tranquility and style - with superb fresh food at every meal.

Casa Taos is a true oasis in what, to soft westerners like us, is a pretty mad place. Neither I nor my wife had ever been to Morocco or Marrakech before, and quite honestly we were not prepared, at all, for what we would find there. It was a culture shock.

But let this not detract from the truly excellent riad that is Casa Taos. Personal attention was superb, and Mohammed was a star. If you want a place to unwind, we have yet to find anywhere better. Believe us when we say that the photographs on this site, and any other, are totally realistic and not staged.

If you are looking for an adventure in Marrakech, but on your own terms, choose Casa Taos. Hicham and Karima will do everything they can to make sure your stay is enjoyable.
