We were in the Riad dar Maia for the first three nights of our stay in Morocco and enjoyed an authentic experience of a riad. The place is about 5 min away from the main square and 3 mins away from palaces/parks.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, in fact, we were on our own in the entire riad and got looked after very well! The owner, Alex, met us for breakfast, and gave useful tips on what to see in Marrakech, how not to get overcharged, as well as helped organise a hammam.
The rooms have all the necessities and are kept clean. The beds are comfortable, and there is wi-fi throughout. We had more than enough for breakfast every morning (breads, jams, pancakes etc). Roof terrace is great to enjoy the sun and escape the busy streets.
We were first put in Yasmine room, but found it noisy in the night (that seems to be the only room facing the street). The Selma/turquoise room was beautiful and quiet, and is bigger as well - good value for money.
