“Great location in a peaceful setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Enjoyed my stay at this comfortable and peaceful Riad. Location is perfect as it is in the center of the Media. The value is good, the hosts and staff were attentive and provided great information. I only wish i could of stayed there longer.

Spent 3 nights in this very comfortable Riad located at the heart of the Medina (5 mins walk to Jmaa el Fna and other things you want to see). Price/Quality ratio is excellent, and on top of that all the staff is very kind, multilingual (English, French, Spanish) and ready to accommodate your request or suggest places to go, things to do. Rooms clean and atmosphere peaceful as one wishes on a holiday.

If I pass by Marrakesh in the future, I am definitely going to book this Riad again.

I stayed here for a week together with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful time. We arranged our transfer from the airport before via e-mail and it was all arranged good. Furthermore all the other service was really good and they also helped us out with arranging our excursions. Also it's a recommendation to eat a night at the riad because the food was very good. The riad is located close to the Djemaa El Fna but it's very quiet inside the riad so get enough sleep is no problem. And all the staff is very helpful so i can really recommend this riad.

after a 3-week trip in the anti-atlas we arrived at nighttime in Marrakeshs' circus and were looking or a nice, cozy and familiar riad to relax and descover the city. For inding Riad Maia we had to ask sb, to guide us, but it was more than worth it. Hidden in a narrow street of Marrakeshs' jungle we ound a oasis o peace, natural friendlyness and decent tast. The ive rooms are extremly cozy by their simpleness and the rooftop terrace is perfect or listening to the sound of the drums from the market, to relax your eyes on the view of the high atlas mountains or to make yoga. We can only highly recommand this riad for its sincere hospitality of Lolita, Amina and Mohammed!

Arrived late after travelling from Casablanca. Riad was hard to find at night and staff was sound asleep when we finally got there, so had to knock on the door for about 10min before the receptionist woke up. Room was small with a even smaller bathroom, and it was absolutely freezing since we visited in January. Cranked up the small heater provided, but it was too small to actually get the room warm quickly. Got up early next morning since we had booked an excursion, and had to wait quite a long while before the breakfast was served. OK breakfast, but compared to other riads it was boring and not impressive (room for improvement). All in all, ok riad but there are certainly much better and service minded riads to be found in Marrakech.

Thank you to Lolita, Mohammed and Fatima. We had a fantastic stay at Dar Maia. The riad is perfectly located, 5 mins walk from Jemaa el Fna. Lolita and her staff are more than happy to provide information and even went to the train station to pick up tickets for us! Never experienced this service before. Breakfast on the roof terrace was delicious and the coffee amazing! After enquirying about the brand of coffee Lolita gave us a packet to take home.

I would definitely recommend Dar Maia and will be going back there very soon :)
