“First class in every way - Thank you so much - can't wait to come back again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

At end of long Northumberland winter and at end of burst of hard work it was exactly the kind of place I had in mind - but even better ! Service, food, peace and quiet and even the weather surpassed all expectation - only negative is that Madame is so chic and elegant in an unmistakably French way that I felt a very scruffy Brit in comparison ...but at least it shamed me into the two hour Hammam special (which was divine) and a resolution to improve both my personal grooming on turn (so I can look like her one day) and my French language skills . Very welcoming and charming couple runt this place with staff to match and even a nice dining room hound who was integral to the ambience. Food alone was a reason to go but they achieve a classy and relaxed atmosphere and unbeatable prices in lovely surroundings. Many thanks and nous revenons.

We arrived to the Jardin and I wasnt quite sure what to expect.. I booked after it was recommended in the guardian as a great experience. What can i say, I am SO glad that i did. The tent was beautiful and had so much room for two people. We stayed in the zen room and it was lovely! It is impossible to not relax here. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and the owners who really nice and wanted to make sure you enjoyed your stay. The food was delicious - with a set menu for both lunch and dinner - freshly prepared. My favorite tagine of the whole trip and thats saying something! The gardens and pool are completely picturesque and the mountain views are spectacular. I would 100% return here if we were ever to return to Marrakesh! Thank you very much.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights, and it was pure heaven! We were in tent number 5 (the red and grey tent pictured above) and I cannot stress enough how amazing this place was! The hamman that is located on site was a brillaint way to spend the late afternoon and the pool was refreshing when you wanted to escape the sun!

I would without question recommend this to anyone as it is a great place to unwind, especially after a few days in the madness of the medina!

We loved staying at Les Jardins d'Issil, Our visit was a mid winter one - to brief you a little:-

Les Jardins are about 20 minutes drive from Marrakech (airport side) and about 40 minutes from the Oukaimeden ski resort in the other direction. In mid winter, the pool is chilly - I swam every day - but in a wet suit ! The tents are supplied with an adequate heater/air conditioner unit as we found elsewhere in Morocco. We turned this off for total silence after going to bed - others have commented on cockerels and the distant calls to prayer which can be heard in the early morning - but these are not sounds I dislike. In winter daytime the weather is often sunny, rising to about 22 degrees. Our tent had a little 'sun trap' terrace on the afternoon sunny side, and we spent considerable time in the sun by the pool in the afternoon.

I had a hire car which meant that day trips in either direction were easy(ish), but you have to concentrate, as the traffic comes from all directions. We particularly liked the contrast between the 'madness' of Marrakesh and the peaceful haven of Les Jardins. The hosts are very French, very charming, very laid back. We enjoyed playing cards in the games room by the bar, we enjoyed breakfasts on the terrace, and we particularly enjoyed our evening Tagine meals in this beautiful setting.

I think the effort this couple have put into creating the gardens has really paid off - our photo's of the pool and the gardens with the snow-capped Atlas in the background are breathtaking. I look forward to returning in a future year to see the gardens mature.

lets start with the good point,we booked the princes suite. on arrival it seemed as described immaculately presented combining traditional decor with a modern twist.what they fail to tell you is that its also a campsite, for families pasing through with camper vans etc. our experience of romance was lots of children running around the campsite; as children would on a holiday.our romantic dining experience was sitting amongst disco music coming from what can only be desribed as a club house, after moving outside the clubhouse so did many parents and screaming kids.after complaining we were offered our meal in our room, then the offer was revoked and we were told it was not possible. we were then lead back to the clubhouse and put into a back room to eat.the quality of the meal was the poorest of the whole holiday, brown lettuce and a (so-called) fresh fruit salad(possibly-tinned). the diabolical meal was then followed by dogs barking all night that kept us awake,so got no sleep at all,had no hot water so couldn't use the large bath made for two,so settled for a cold shower.having stayed at 4 other venues in morrocco this one was by far the most inaccurately descibed.if you're looking for romance please bear in mind that is a campsite that also caters for weddings (an odd combination to say the least). we moved on the following day as it was so bad losing two days payment ,as well as paying full price for the inadiquate meal....not a holiday experience that we would reccommend for ANYONE

We are obliged to respond to this letter abusive, see for yourself the quality of the princely suite click on our site of the hotel, in rooms, princely suite.
The bedding is compared with the room and the service and food.
Too bad these clients do not accept children, there had only four adorable and well educated. During the Christmas holidays, they are also entitled to their vacation.
These clients dinner alone in a private room not to hear or see the children.
There has never been a club house or techno music in our establishment, we pass only music Lounge.

Some ten plus kilometres out of Marrakech , Les jardins d'Issil, is a real pleasure , we visited for two nights on our way back from an Atlas Mountains and Sahara desert trip , as you entered through the Kasbah style gates into the gardens the weariness of the previous days were swept away , the welcome was friendly and smile filled we were directed to our 'tent', a walled Arabic style canvas roofed bivouac our Glamping began, a huge comfy room with king size bed , a fully equipped lux bathroom and storage room , a small private patio .
On entering the main building we were greeted by the owners , who were whenever encountered ,were charming with a real desire to ensure we were enjoying every phase of the stay.
The food and service were excellent , yes there is a one choice menu but I'm sure if people had special dietary needs every attempt would be made to cater for guests !
If you have the chance to have a haammam treatment , do it ! It is great , we both had a visit and the benefits were superb .
A great place to chill after the buzz of the medina or as we did after days in the mountains and the desert .

Ending a two week trip around Morocco, my wife and decided to skip central Marrakech and head towards what we soon found was a little piece of paradise for our final couple of nights.

Located just outside Marrakech and in view of the majestic Atlas Mountains Les Jardin D'Issil is a wonderful and tranquil collection of tented dwellings and gardens hidden behind a wall.
Each room is an individual sumptuous tented building with A/C, En Suite facilities and even chilled out music at the flick of a switch. A visit in person is the only way that you will realise how romantic and sublime the accommodation is!

The gardens are full of beautiful flowers, fruit and olive trees and are also teaming with singing birds, dragonflies and other wonderful wildlife. (This is as close to paradise as my wife and I have found in a long while)

Now onto the food - simply awesome.
The breakfast offers fresh fruit and local breads and freshly squeezed orange juice and lunch and dinner are available upon request.
Lunch, taken on the terrace of the restaurant under the shade of an olive tree, took the form of juicy, freshly, grilled skewers of chicken served with a lush green salad and was followed by a delicate fresh fruit tart.

Dinner in the evening was taken inside the dinning area of the main building (the temp drops slightly in the evening - in warmer months dinner is taken outside)
The main building is where the bar and reception area can be found.

Dinner is served in three courses - the first on our first night was a selection of wonderful vegetarian salads with fresh local olives, juicy tomatoes and lightly spiced carrots taking to the fore. Accompanied by warm freshly baked local breads - we both knew we had struck gold when deciding to stay here!
The mains were - on the first night a stunning and very generous cous cous served with slow cooked beef, chicken and a selection of local vegetables including courgette, squash and carrots (served with a rich sauce and caramelised onions and juicy raisins)

I won't go on and list the fantastic food on the second day - all I need to say is that it was as equally exceptional!

Added to all of this is a wonderful team of staff and owners all of whom are very kind and the perfect hosts and guardians of the little piece of paradise.

If you get to Marrakech and want to kick back and relax away from the chaos of the city center I implore you to head to Jardin D'Issil for an extraordinary and tranquil time!!
