“Clean, friendly and centrally located”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2010

The Riad Jomana is conveniently located in the centre of Marrakech, we were a 20 minute walk from the old town and a 20 minute walk to the new town. The taxi rank is less then a 5 minute walk.
The Riad is clean and charming and beutifully decorated in a traditional Moroccan style.

Lahcen, who works in the Riad was there to meet us from our taxi from the airport (which the Riad arranged) and we were greeted with a refreshing mint tea and biscuits. Lahcen gave us a map and advised on places of interest, he also walked us onto the main road on out first journey out. He was extremely helpful in booking us restaurants and we were pleased that we took his advice and ate in Cafe Arabe!

The breakfast was tasty, we especially enjoyed the morocan donuts, yum! It was large enough to set us up for the day.

I highly recommend the Riad Jomana, it's fantastic value for money with a real Moroccan feel and fabulous service. They couldn't do enough for us which helped make the holiday one to remember.

Riad Jomana is agreat place right in the middle of Marrakech. It´s situated directly in the Medina of Marrakech, so you can easily visit every sight by walking. The Riad is a very beautiful and clean place with a real Marrocan style. Especially helpful are the owners and employees of the hotel. A big thanks to Lahcen who made the stay much more comfortable and easy for us. We were picked up at the airport by a transport organized by the Riad and the Lahen picked us up just in time to help us with our luggage and to take us to the little and romantic street where the hotel is situated. There he welcomed us with a delicious mint tea and explained all important sights of Marrakech to us and how to get there. The next day we had a very nice breakfast at the beautiful terrace of the Riad. It was a wonderful stay, we will never forget and the service and support by emplaoyees was much better than in any other Riad we stayed before. We really recommend this place! It´s the best home to discover the real Marrakech, especially because of the good help and explanation and a fantastic service!

Staying at this hotel was a pleasure. We were greeted by the hotel staff with the most delicous mint tea and biscuits, and given recommendations and directions for the most popular sights in Marrakech. Breakfast was served in the lovely courtyard, and it was delicious - all sorts of breads, moroccan pancakes, pastries, and jams. The hotel staff was always available for anything we needed, and took a genuine interest in us. I couldn't have been more pleased with their hospitality - truly above and beyond.

The only downside was that our bathroom was seperate from our hotel room. However, it was only used by us - no one else, so it worked out fine. I think some of the other rooms had private bathrooms, though.

Overall - a wonderful experience.

My husband and I had been traveling all over Morocco and Riad Jomana we booked this riad for our last night in the country. It is well priced and we figured that we did not really need to spend a ton of money since we were leaving at 4 in the morning. The young gentleman that greeted us and brought us to the riad was sweet, helpful, and went out of his way to make sure that we were set up with a taxi ride at the awful hour of 4 am. He woke up at that time, called the driver to make sure he was on his way, and then walked us to the edge of the medina to see us off!
I will say this to people traveling with children. Our room was enormous! It had 3 large beds in it and a more private area if you are bringing along a teen who needs some privacy. The shower is a little small but, its and interesting shower so you forgive the size while you're in it. The location is good as well!

The service we recieved was excellent. The owners were very helpful with directions, organising a tour guide for us to take us to the Atlas Mountians for the day and booking taxis. Breakfast was always promptly served whatever time we decided to get up and they were always willing to put our valuables into the safe in their office.

We stayed in the room with an en-suite, it felt very Morrocan to me, but with an added plus of air con. There are only four rooms at this riad, which meant on most occasions when we went to chill out on the roof terrace we had it too ourselves which was great.

I would advise people to book a taxi with the riad on your arrival as I think anyone would find it extreamly difficult - if not impossible to find it on your own.

It is within walking distance to the main square of Marrakesh along safe steets (although being a young blond girl, I was a bit nervous at first - I had no problems).

We had a great stay here, a calm in the craziness of Marrakesh.

This is a beautifully decorated riad. The hosts are definitely in the right job: they were welcoming, very helpful, yet not intrusive and great fun to be around.
The breakfast is fantastic: pancakes, delicious bread and homemade apricot jam!.
The location was perfect: in the medina, very near the souks and the bus station and not far from the new town
Had a great couple of nights here thankyou for making the beginning and end of our holiday so easy and relaxing

Both owners very helpful, we were met at airport and went by taxi to be met by Marco at the end of the road. The location of the Riad was great with only 4 rooms it was very peaceful and relaxed. So a great escape after a fun packed day in the souks! We ate at the night market on most nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus had an excellent meal at the Riad on one evening. Marco and Pierre could not be more helpful on where to recommend and what to see.
