“Crowded but beautiful...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Beautiful tilework, woodwork, and plaster carvings. Intricate ceilings. Definitely a place to wander at your own pace. Tours and bus groups can make some of the rooms and courtyards feel crowded, but find a quiet room and wait them out. They will move on and you are in no rush.

“Really beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

There is lots to see inside, traditional crafts and cultural items, but the building is also spectacular. Well worth the price to go in, which isn't very high on UK terms at all

“Fantastic architecture.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

A fantastic building with the most wonderful decoration. Shame that it is mostly empty of furniture though.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

We walked there arriving at 09.00 but there were two tour groups just going in! We skirted past them and were then able to look around empty rooms while they were still having the talk from the guides. Unfortunately there is no information in English about the different areas (unless you get a guide) but it is amazing to look at the architectural decorations. We were told that the stucco was carved by hand after being applied to the walls!

“Large crowds while we were there”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Unfortunately, we probably didn't give this the time it deserved. There were such large groups of tourists there! It was hard to get around them, as they would be oblivious to the fact that there were people there trying to walk around that were not with their tour. We looked as we tried to dodge the crowds.
