We stayed for four nights. A short walk from all the main sights, it's location is excellent. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. They always made time to stop to chat and make sure our stay was comfortable. We had a couple of early starts and they were happy to give us a wake up call to make sure we didn't miss our trip and serve us breakfast much earlier than usual. They were even happy for us to leave our bags there for three nights whilst we explored the Sahara.

On arrival, we were given a choice of two rooms, both absolutely beautiful. Excellent traditional, contempory mix. Spotless. Clean towels provided and the bed was made every day. It all added to being able to relax at the end of a busy day, plus a cold drink from the mini bar helped and was very welcome.

Fabulous breakfast; fruit salad, baguette, sweet bread, pancakes, choice of eggs, jams, orange juice, tea and coffee. We struggled to fit it all in. The breakfast alone is worth a stay! The roof terrace was also a favourite of ours.

In short, the food, the welcome, the decor, the ambiance were all fantastic. Our review can't do this lovely riad justice. The most beautiful accomodation we have ever stayed in.

We stayed for one week at Casa Lalla in June 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The Riad is very nice, quiet and comfortable, and is situated only five minutes walk from the Jema el Fna, in the middle of the Medina. The streets around it are very safe, we have never had any problems, even coming back late in the evening. The owners of the Riad, Pierre-Olivier and Annabelle, are friendly and welcoming, as are the staff. We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace, with the company of the house cat! Our room was comfortable and spacious enough for two people. However, it was located upstairs, so we cannot say how quiet the rooms on the ground floor are. It is also to note that we stayed at the Riad during the low season, when the place is probably less busy. We dined in the restaurant of the Riad one evening and we enjoyed the dinner. However, please remember that a Riad is not – and cannot be - a five star hotel. But if you look for a relaxing place near the Medina, and appreciate the contact with the traditional quarters of the city, with its sounds and colours, Casa Lalla is definitely the place for you.

If you want to be close to the main square and walk to the key attractions in the old town AND stay at somewhere where quality and service is important then Casa Lalla is for you. If you would prefer a modern hotel with standardised sized rooms and all the facilities/trappings but sacrifice location then it is not.

We were on a 25th Anniversary trip and liked the location,helpful service and our room although we had one of the larger ones (Canelle) . Our hosts could not have been more
helpful and the fact that you could walk out of the hotel into the thick of Marrakesh street life made it the right choice for us

We found the Riad to be very comfortable, clean and welcoming with friendly and helpful owners and staff. Simple, stylish rooms and good sized bathrooms. A very peaceful and relaxing place. Ate in one night and had a fabulous meal cooked by the owner Pierre-Olivier.

Fantastic location very close to the main square so easy to get about and we felt very safe walking back to the Riad in the evenings.

Would definitely go back.
