“A little Oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

We recently stayed here for my brothers 40th; the riad is situated in the Medina which is in the heart of the hustle and bustle and only a 20 min walk to the main square. Once in the Riad you forget the craziness outside and you are simply in a little haven, it is beautiful and well-kept the staff are friendly and very helpful nothing is too much trouble. The night we arrived they had prepared us dinner which was fantastic, I would highly recommend eating here and the breakfast on the terrace didn’t disappoint, there is also free bottled water and mint tea available all day. The terrace is well stocked with plants and seating areas so is a great place to chill out. I would highly recommend staying here… We had a fabulous time.

We recently stayed here as a party of 6 for my partners 40th birthday. The riad itself is beautiful - very stylish and authentic but really comfortable and homely at the same time. Lots of lovely chill out areas and breakfast on the terrace was fabulous. The staff were also wonderful and so helpful, although it definitely would help if you can speak some French. We had the sakina room which was beautiful but all the rooms seemed great. One small note about our room was that the toilet was separate to the bathroom which in itself isn't a problem but there was no sink in the toilet so you had to walk across to the bathroom to wash hands etc. However, this is a minor point in what is a really gorgeous place to stay. There is also free water and mint tea all day. We ate in the riad the evening we arrived and the food was delicious. They provided an airport return shuttle for us which was reasonably priced and I believe they also arrange tours if you want although we didn't do this. In terms of location it is in the medina so in the heart of things with a fascinating 15/20 min walk to the main square. In all, we could not have been happier with our choice and would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: We were a party of 6 so we got to see 3 out of the 6 rooms and all were lovely and had their own sty...

A beautiful riad away from the hussle and bussle but close enough to walk everywhere. The riad itself is georgeous and the rooms are traditional but comfortable with good amenities. The terrace is a great place to have the yummy breakfast, but the staff really made our trip. They are friendly and hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. They always had a smile on their faces and made sure to introduce themselves on the staff/guest changeover. A real family feel, it felt like staying with relatives!!

We - a family with two little boys - have just come back from a wonderful stay at Riad Terrasse des Oliviers. From the very first moment we felt welcome. Renaud, the Swiss owner, and his Moroccan team looked after us really well: first of all it was totally normal that we arrived with two little kids (which, in fact, in a lot of places is often either expensive due to extra charges or is considered as an exception or some other funny excuse for making things complicated for us...) and we were given a room that was just perfect for a family of four - without any additional charges. Renaud and his team were most welcoming, very helpful and always had inviting smiles on their faces. The Riad itself is nicely designed and we'll looked after. The well equipped breakfast is served on the cosy and sunny terrasse, and if you feel like cooling down after a busy day out you can have a paddle in the small pool in the patio of the Riad. To sum it up: the quality-price-ratio is excellent and we can highly recommend the Riad!

Excellent riad with a great sense of authenticity and character throughout the riad and in the room itself. The service was excellent, homely and friendly. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a great start to the day. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful about all things Marrakech and beyond. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. Cosy but has everything one would need for a stay in Marrakech.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Riad La Terrasse des Oliviers. It is a really lovely quiet and relaxing place to stay and yet is really close to the city centre.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and went out of their way to be as helpful as possible. We required a wheat-free diet for which they cooked fresh corn bread on a daily basis. There was also free unlimited mint tea and oranges which were most welcome after a day in the medina.

We would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Marrakech who feels in need of a few creature comforts.

My wife and I are frequent travellers and never have we experience such pleasant and excellent service from the staff. Our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Rashida who cooks wonderful and delicious dinners for us and Yousef who prepares and served us breakfast every morning. On one of the days where we had booked an early excursion outside Marrakech we have a pleasant surprise. Yousef had ensured that we are well taken care of and serves us breakfast even at 5.30am in the morning! This is truly a service from the heart.

The Riad is charming and very cosy. It is perfectly located and easily accessible to the new city as well as to the charming (and somewhat challenging) labyrinth of the souks in Medina.

Our stay in Marrakech would not have ended well with pleasant and fond memories if not for Jacques who had ensured our well being every day of our stay.

Thank you for the wonderful time in Marrakech.

Andrew & CY
