We were there for 2 nights, lovely place, friendly and helpfull staff, a really good breakfast. We really enjoyed it, just the surrandings are not so nice... too many people trying to skin you with services they do not really provide and that you don't need.

I stayed here in march 09 travelling with my mum on a girly weekend! I searched for 7 hours when looking at booking a riad for a suitable one balancing the cost and the reviews! This riad came up numerous times at a very competative cost and good reviews. I so pleased I spent those 7 hours looking!!! This is a hidden little gem. Far enough out of the hussle and bustle but still within easy walking distance. The owners were very helpful with hints and tips and all the staff very friendly and always available if you need them! If you are reading this onsiddering marrakech for a holiday Do Not stay in one of the international hotels in the new side of town this will completely ruin your experience They are all very nice but they could be anywhere. Do as the locals do and if you do not choose riad jonan then please choose another riad as they aree part of the experience! I would definately recommend asking theriad to send a driver to pick you up from the airport as the riad id situated in the pedestrian area and many cars ill not go in!! We were taken down some side streets when arrived wondering where we were going the suddenly a door appeared and in side was this beautiful home. Well worth the money! Also have the moroccan meal it was beautiful. I would also highly recommend doing a cooking moroccan cooking lesson We did one a were taken shopping and haggling for ingredients in the markets, explained to about all the herbs and spices taught how to cook different dishes and then sat down with a glass of wine to enjo the spoils of our labour all for around £30pp bargain! I would recommend soukcuisine run by a lady called gemma. www.soukcuisine.com

My friend and I stayed at Riad Jonan for 5 nights.
This gem is well hidden in Old Town, once discovered you will want to go back for more!
Raid Jonan is very close to all sights in Marrakech and if you want a real Moroccan experience then I would recommend Riad Jonan. The staff were very friendly, especially little Hasan :). The room was perfect for us, they kindly provided a twin room upon request. The breakfast was perfect fuel for our long walks :). The roof terrace is a little stunner, make sure you take a peek!. The best thing about the stay was the dinner we ordered one evening, real authentic homemade Tagine, don't miss out!.
If I had one negative point that would be, you are not allowed irons in your bedroom. So, if you are staying for 3 days+ you could have an expensive ironing bill.
We will certainly return to Riad Jonan when next in Marrakech!

After pouring over all of the reviews for places to stay in Marrakech, we finally decided on this riad. I have to say that I couldn't have been happier!

After AF left my bag back in Paris, we found ourselves stranded at the Casablanca airport for an additional 6 hours. After sitting around (while stressed out) all that time, and then taking a 4 hour train ride to Marrakech, we were just about beat.

All that stress seemingly melted away as soon as we entered the riad. The decor is absolutely beautiful. We were told to just leave our bags at that point, and that everything would be taken care of. As others have mentioned, we were served Moroccan tea and pastries, even though the hour was getting late. These were very well received by us!

We were then given some general information about the area, as it was our first time in Marrakech. We were even given a very detailed map showing us how to get to the Jmaa El Fna (about a 5-10 min walk). The directions were spot on and easy to follow.

We had the opportunity to stay in 2 different rooms during our 4 night stay. Both were lovely and very comfortable. We only had breakfast on the last day that we stayed, but after eating it, we wished we had gotten up earlier to have it everyday.

Howard, Abdul, Aziz, and the rest of the staff couldn't have been lovelier. They went far out of their way to help us with some special requests on more than one occasion. Should our travels ever bring us back to Marrakech, the Riad Jonan will definitely have our business once again!

My wife and I stayed in the Riad Jonan for 4 nights in late April. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Just ask and they will advise on everything from day trips to the best nearby restaurant. We actually also had dinner at the Riad one night and found it to be very good food in a nice atmosphere. The Riad is very well placed (close but not too close to a main street and within easy walking distance to the main square) to discover Marrakech, with most of Marrakech being walkable anyway. The place itself is a combination of two riads with two roof terraces and shady places to cool down during the day. We will stay again should we get back to Marrakech.
