“great place to stay and eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

Very nice hotel, it's modern and clean. The staff is friendly and it has a nice rooftop terras with a bar. The restaurant is top class with good food, French quisine, and good deserts. Good service.
It's a good, not too expansive place to stay to visit Marrakech. A bit outside of the medina so close to a main road so it's not so busy.

Nice lobby and good location. Staff were really unhelpful and verging on rude at reception. I had no hot water on 2 occasions which is ridiculous for a moderin hotel. The pool is tiny and is in the middle of the restaurant. The rooms are clean and basic. Breakfast was also disappointing. Got no sleep on my last night...there was noise all night. Not overly impressed. The restaurant is excellent though, I'd highly recommend it. I'm sure there are better hotels in Marrakech.

Room Tip: Ask for a room thats on the back of the building.

I have just come back from a weeks holiday at this hotel. I was there wit my brother who had an adjoining room to mine.
We booked out trip via EasyJet- and were very pleased with the price we paid for our package which included breakfast and evening meal. The rooms were more than adequate. The food was also excellent in terms of variety. The staff in the dining room and breakfast room were excellent. Staff at reception varied for excellent ( Half of those we Experienced) to average for the other half who seemed rather disinterested in their work. Check in was quick and efficient.
There is a nice roof top bar at the hotel. Very good bar staff there. The hotel is well placed for all the major sites. It is in a good part of town with plenty of coffee shops and paces to eat nearby..
The only issue my brother had was that for some reason neither of us could access the Wi-Fi in the hotel. We could however access wi fi at the hotel two doors down and also in local coffee bars. Perhaps the problem was with our UK notebooks!
The hotel would certainly be worth a return trip if we were in Marrakech.
From the hotel to the main square should only cost 20 dirham in a petite taxi. (About£1.50) for up to 3 people. Always agree a price before you get in. French is widely spoken- so brush up on that. A few Arabic phrases wont go amiss either.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel- or on a high floor.

Well located in Gueliz, good restau around and pretty cool shops selling amazing stuff fit for your home- L'orientaliste. My 3yo was sick on the 3rd day and we've been directed to a 2min walk pediatrician Dr Tarjinn and he recovered the following day. Loved the breakfast! Just a note though, the wifi only works at the reception and at the rooftop.

However, I lost my tweezer and my MIL lost her pencil sharpener.. i mean these are probably items you dont really need to make a complain but pff.. just the principle of losing things annoys me.

No receipts/documents handed out upon payment of certain services.. I'm not so particular but Im pretty impressed by how they could remember your face by heart despite this fully booked hotel period.

This was the 2nd year that we have been to Le Caspien, when we arrived we were greeted at the reception and served Mint Tea. The room that we had was lovely, however it had twin beds. We popped to reception and they arranged for us to move to a double the very next day.
The breakfasts were fantastic as usual, the only disappointing bit was that they had replaced the low bench seating with low tables and cushions for more standard table and chairs.
The food in the restaurant was excellent along with the service amd management could be seen most nights chatting to the guests to make sure everything was ok.

We would definitely recommend it for a city break, in fact we like it so much we stayed for 8 nights this year

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are quieter and cooler than rooms at the front of the hotel

Newly updated, this hotel is both stylish and comfortable with lovely Moroccan details of mosaics, lanterns and artwork. We enjoyed the fine dining restaurant as well as bistro on site; menu highlights local fare and European dishes with a full wine list and bar. Staff is so very helpful, courteous and multilingual in Arabic, French and English. They provide a great value and wonderful experience we look forward to enjoying again.

Stayed here in March for a friends birthday. The staff where very pleasant and helpful. We were bed and breakfast and the food was basic but fresh each morning. There is a bar and restaurant it is very well staffed never had to wait for a drink. The second night we decided to dine here and the food was exquisite we dined there for the rest of our stay. The prices where very good in the restaurant
