“Not at all 5 star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

We booked this hotel through the internet hoping for a relaxing and comfortable stopover. Unluckily it is not worth its money. Breakfast is moderate, rooms are average (definately 4 stars max), the pool is nice though and the manager was friendly. Location is too far from the Medina, taxis are very expensive (5€ one-way).

Went with this option at the last min. Thinking it would be part of the same group pf Royal mirages in Dubai and boy was i wrong!

Service 4/10
Cleanliness - 3/10
Wifi - 2/10
Location of hotel - 8/10
Room Size - 6/10
Room design and interior - 2/10

Bottom line - Dont bother and only god knows how this hotel got 5 stars. Seriously more like 3.

I stayed here with my family last week. The building is beautiful, decoration is fantastic.
The rooms are good, bathroom needs to be change, but it's ok. But the service is quite bad. The restaurant the worst. They have a great hotel that is very poorly managed. Problems with the rooms when we got there, long time waiting at the restaurant just to take a table, and problems with reception when trying to pay with credit card. Unless they change the management, would never go back.

Beautiful hotel, lovely pool, great service. Rooms specious, breakfast buffet on the terrace is lovely.
Con: people can smoke inside the hotel.
Don't take half or full board the food isn't good and pricy. It's easy to go to the medina, 10 min walk to eat there. The location of the hotel is great.

Room Tip: Request a room on the quiet side as there is a night club on the side of the hotel. From our room w...

Convenient location to downtown Medina and Gueliz neighborhood restaurants and Caffe most beautiful.
Large rooms with American large beds. About € 120 for 2 people. Add 10% VAT.
Poky rooms and noisy because of the elevator.
I found: A chair with a broken leg. Table lamp and floor lamp without wiring, ceiling spot lite not working, shower with water loss from the door, bath cap that does not close so unusable, toilet with continuously running water. The bedspreads
will never be washed?
Usual Hotel breakfast, jams of bad quality and over sweet, good bread.

Room Tip: Far from elevator noise

2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013 via mobile

Stayed in the Royal Mirage Deluxe Hotel in Marrakech in October of this year , we were a group of five friends. We were under the impression that royal mirage hotels are one of the best hotels. Apparently this was the only nice thing about it, the name. It was obvious since checking in the way we were received its no five star reception. One receptionist was on duty that night. After entering the room the dirty curtains were open, AC was off and the room felt like hell. spots and stains covering chairs and scratches covering the tables, the TV wasn't working well ,there where three hangers in my room cupboard and one hanger in my friends room.
To get to the section that has our rooms we have to pass by the main kitchen of the hotel, its doors remains open all the time.. As for breakfast, we go down for breakfast early in the morning and there is no staff or waiter to serve us. Tea and coffee was part of the buffet and you have to serve your self. To reach the resturant, we have to walk through dark corridor , apparently they turn off lights at night without taking into account the safety and security. In the morning of last day, the day in which we will leave to airport , we were shocked that no water in the bathrooms and Waited more than thirty minutes To re connect the water ..
there was a loud machine noise coming from the swimming pool side.the air condition was not working well and it was warm all the time .. a small number of employees in the hotel and it seems that the hotel policy applied to reduce expenses with out considering its affect on service and convenience .. in my opinion the hotel does not deserve to be classified under the category of five-star or even four. Would not recommend it to any one.one last thing, a lady with two pice bikini walked from the swimming pool through the lobby in front of reception staff, they only stood and watched.

We stayed here to celebrate my wifes birthday. The Hotel is a bit dated but clean and great location for the old and new part of Marrakech. The service was very slow, waited all day for an iron to be provided. It could be at this time of year the staffing numbers are reduced. 2 of the 3 inhouse resturants were closed. However the one that was open the food was great.
Eventhough not what I would class as 5***** but overall good value for money and would return again.
