“Scintillating experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

This hotel is near Bahia Palace and located in Medina. I was happy that this hotel has a restaurant and a bar attached. I am a regular visitor to this hotel and I am surprised every time by the treatment of this hotel. Not many know that this hotel offers a unique service and that is multilingual staff who can speak the most famous languages in the world. The hotel offers concierge services and a library. All rooms are air-conditioned and the hotel has a wifi to all its guests. One disadvantage is that this hotel does not allow pets inside and I have one that I cannot bring here every time. Overall, I love this place and the hotel and cherish the memories forever.

I am so grateful that we chose Riyad Al Moussika for our stay in Marrakech. The neighborhood is key--very quiet and very easy to find from the Jemaa el Fna. Inside the riad are 3 courtyards, beautiful songbirds and flowers everywhere, not to mention incredibly detailed hand panting and carving on every surface you see. The service was very warm--it's not a big hotel, so consider it like a private home with butler service. You might have to poke your head in the kitchen to find someone, but they will gladly get anything you could possibly need at any time.
Also, Hassan is one of the best hotel & restaurant managers I've encountered in any city, let alone Marrakech.

Never been treated better in a hotel, whichever, wherever.

The Riad is a piece of genuine art, in the centre of the old village, and the personal treatment one gets there is just exceptional.

It was unfortunate that my wife and I had to shorten our stay there for two nights due to urgent work commitments. When I informed Mr. Youssef, the manager, saying that I fully understand the no-refund policy (the hotel has 8 rooms or so only, and has to be booked well ahead of time), I was absolutely surprised and quite grateful that he actually refunded me for the 2 nights. A kind of gesture which is really rare.

The restaurant they have is one of the most celebrated in Marrakech, and trying it one would instantly understand why. An exquisite Moroccon/Italian fusion!

Cannot recommend it more.

From the moment we first contacted the manager, we received outstanding service. The Riyad is stunning and the team goes out of their way to make your stay special. The room was lovely, the complimentary tea, coffee and water was appreciated. The restaurant, Pepe Nero, was also terrific and is one of the best restaurants in Marrakech (#6 or so according to trip advisor- make sure you make a reservation). Every morning we were served breakfast in the beautiful courtyard and the staff always went out of their way to accommodate our every need or arrange whatever we needed. If you're looking for something close to the square that is romantic, safe and very accommodating, then this is the place to stay!

I spent a wonderful weekend in this riyad .
I can only confirm the enthusiastic comments of guests who have preceded me . The beauty of the place is breathtaking and from our arrival, we were seduced by its luxurious and relaxing atmosphere . Time has stopped at Riyad Al Moussika ...
We could have been at the time of the Pasha, old master of the place ... A complete change of scenery ... it was exactly what we wanted to experience ! Our suite blue alone was worth the trip .. and then the halls and courtyards in authentic Moorish style .. Fountains full of flowers and different types of birds that enlivened the scene.
Great service of the team of young boys , masterfully directed by Hassan , the director for which the word no does not exist to satisfy a customer!
Copious breakfast and tea times with Moroccan pastries complimentary offered. I do not know when I'll be back in Marrakech, but when it will be , I'll stay at Riyad Al Moussika for sure

We spent 4 nights in this magnificent Riyad in the heart of the Medina. We got the Green suite which is marvelous, has its own little patio and prive rooftop terrace. The Riyad scenery is splendid with lush vegetation everywhere. The attention to detail is what made the whole experience so worthwhile. I would definitely recommend this Riyad to any couple wanting to have a wonderful experience in Marrakech.

Thanks to all the staff who were very professional and took the extra mile to please its customer with a smile. will definitely return there next time I'm around.

Room Tip: Green suite for the private terrasse and private rooftop.

3 wonderful days in a magical palace.
With a couple of friends stayed at this Riad for a weekend and everything was way above our expectations. Riyad Al Moussika is a gem ... really incomparable. The efficient service team spares no efforts to achieve the goal of satisfying customers. The breakfast was delicious ... the cappuccino as good as in Italy ... Our green suite with private terrace and balcony was perfect.
We will return with pleasure.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Riad Al Moussika - For comfort, style and refinement. THE Riad experience in Marrakech! Situated in the ancient medina of Marrakech, five minutes walk from place Jemaa El Fna, the Riyad was once one of the residences of the former Pasha of Marrakech, Thami El Glaoui, and has been refurbished to a very high standard in the Andalucian style. One of the gates of Riyad Al Moussika opens on to a garden with old cypress trees soaring to the sky, a huge bougainvillea climbing across the pergolas, a swimming pool, in the centre or, more precisely, an Andalucian basin thirteen meters long, tiled with a mosaic carpet design. Here water falls from a white Carrara marble fountain to the songs of numerous small birds creating an idyllic scenario, in spite of being in the heart of central medina. A fireplace gives the winter evenings a cosy atmosphere, as do the impressive modern paintings, carpets, sofas and armchairs. There is a hi-fi system and an art deco Pleyel grand piano perfectly tuned for the pleasure of the guests. The Turkish bath or hammam in white marble with a relax room where, on request, a professional masseur can take care of the guests. There is a unique view of the medina and the Atlas Mountains from the two terraces that are sheltered partially with wooden pergolas and surrounded by large terracotta flower vases. Tables, comfortable armchairs with cushions and teak chaises-long allow guests to request breakfast and candle lit dinner, as well as to sunbathe during the day. On one of the terraces there is a pavilion with Moroccan sofas, cushions and lamps should some of the guests prefer a more intimate space. The resident Chef, Grand Diploma Cordon Bleu, has devoted his life to gastronomy and invites lovers of fine dining to experience his repertoire of Moroccan, Italian and French cuisine at the haute Cuisine riyad's Restaurant PEPE NERO. There are 4 double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom. All rooms have air-conditioning / heating system, telephone with external line, television with the major satellite channels (BBC, CNN etc.), Internet wireless connection is available and DVD in the music room. ... more   less
