Im an old Club Med fan so I really like the concept and thats very important as many reviewers don't seem to understand that Club Med is not a hotel but an all round experience and that many people go for that Club Med experience, sport, food, chat etc ,not Marrakesh or wherever the particular location is.This Club has very good rooms.Excellent food.French 90% of guests but many spoke good English. excellent English GO . I took many exercise classes with 2 very good GOs.The bike rides were also fun.As its so high up its quite cold so don't expect warm days the night and mornings were very cold .
Only slight area that needs improvement is maintenance the chairs in the bar and night club need work .The door in my room had a half inch gap under it.Yet when I had a sink problem it was fixed at once.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Marrakech is the Southern pearl, full of charm, mystery and bustle, at the crossroads of the Sahara and the High Atlas. The Club Med Village, set in Morocco's oldest palm grove, reflects the intimate aspect of the medina, fostering its way of life with its gardens, refined cuisine and warm welcome. The Marrakech architecture combines baked bricks, tadelakt, red ochre and colourful zellige, to create a relaxing haven to which you can enjoy returning after a stroll through Djemaa el-Fna square. ... more less
