Just got back from a week at El Andalous. I would rate this as a four star hotel as it has all the facilities. However it is more of a tired 4 star & a little frayed a bit like a beauty pagent whos reached 70 but in a good way. Value for money depends on what you pay for it. We paid just over £500 each for a week including flights & for this price it was good value. Most of the staff were very friendly & helpful.
Stayed on 3rd floor facing the main road & was a bit on the noisy side as we could hear the traffic & night club. Main thing is rooms are clean & spacious. Me & my son had a double bed each to ourselves. Room gets cleaned daily & towels are also changed daily. Towels are a bit on the thin side. Ladies who clean the rooms are very friendly. My son wasn't well for a couple of days (not from food) & one of the cleaning ladies asked him later if he felt better.
Good selection for breakfast. Croissants, bread - some already toasted so was cold, cornflakes, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese, cakes, eggs (although I wouldn't touch the scrambled eggs unless it was early in the morning), pototoes, pancakes & there is also this woman who cooks fresh pancake/flatbread type things which are gorgeous with some syrup, coffee, tea & juice.
Plenty of pool loungers which were comfy as long as you put a towel over it otherwise you may find yourself sticking to the covers. Unfortunately you can't adjust the loungers & there was no parasols if you get hot. We had to move around to find the spots with some shade but if you love the sun, you'll be fine.
We ordered what we thought was a snack - club sandwich & it came with plenty of fries & was very delicous. However when we ordered room service one night the meal was overcooked, dry & a tad on the cold side. The standard was very different to the one by the pool for some reason!
Our rep told us that all the hotels don't allow you to bring in food or drinks. She suggested we be discreet & put things in our rucksack if we did want to.
