Suited for everyone, family or solo.
Good food, friendly and helpfull staff.
Not far from the old centre.
Big rooms, but furniture a bit old. Nice hall and restaurants and bars.

We have just returned from 5 nights at The El Andalous (3-8 May). the location to explore the city is fantastic and rooms are clean.. however the customer service from start to finish was terrible. The pool is lovely, but drinks and food are terribly over priced - there are far more upmarket hotels that offer much better food for similar prices.
We had a package deal and the price was OK for the deal we got - the Breakfast is OK.
We would not return to this hotel....

Just got back from a week at El Andalous. I would rate this as a four star hotel as it has all the facilities. However it is more of a tired 4 star & a little frayed a bit like a beauty pagent whos reached 70 but in a good way. Value for money depends on what you pay for it. We paid just over £500 each for a week including flights & for this price it was good value. Most of the staff were very friendly & helpful.

Stayed on 3rd floor facing the main road & was a bit on the noisy side as we could hear the traffic & night club. Main thing is rooms are clean & spacious. Me & my son had a double bed each to ourselves. Room gets cleaned daily & towels are also changed daily. Towels are a bit on the thin side. Ladies who clean the rooms are very friendly. My son wasn't well for a couple of days (not from food) & one of the cleaning ladies asked him later if he felt better.

Good selection for breakfast. Croissants, bread - some already toasted so was cold, cornflakes, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese, cakes, eggs (although I wouldn't touch the scrambled eggs unless it was early in the morning), pototoes, pancakes & there is also this woman who cooks fresh pancake/flatbread type things which are gorgeous with some syrup, coffee, tea & juice.

Plenty of pool loungers which were comfy as long as you put a towel over it otherwise you may find yourself sticking to the covers. Unfortunately you can't adjust the loungers & there was no parasols if you get hot. We had to move around to find the spots with some shade but if you love the sun, you'll be fine.

We ordered what we thought was a snack - club sandwich & it came with plenty of fries & was very delicous. However when we ordered room service one night the meal was overcooked, dry & a tad on the cold side. The standard was very different to the one by the pool for some reason!

Our rep told us that all the hotels don't allow you to bring in food or drinks. She suggested we be discreet & put things in our rucksack if we did want to.

Stayed in El Andalous for a week, 13thFeb. Read other reviews and am surprised at the negative ones as we thought the hotel was good! The exterior and foyer is plush with fountains and marble floors, and our room large with two double beds and excellent bathroom facilities although the towels were rather thin. It is important to request a 4/5th floor rooms overlooking the pool as this gives a great view overlooking the Atlas mountains. The breakfast was varied and tasty but slightly disorganised, lots of servants around but they often ran out of cups or cutlery, but very apologetic when this was pointed out! We used the pool and sunbathing area most days for an hour or so and found the chairs comfy and the pool great to swim in as it's a decent size.
We also found all the staff in the hotel friendly and helpful, especially the ladies who cleaned our room. The only thing I wasn't keen on was that I decided to have a Hammon in the hotel spa, this was disappointing as the lady doing the treatment didn't seem interested and kept stopping to send texts!
I wasn't expecting a "British" type hotel, after all it was Morocco but we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our holiday.

arrived concerned after reading review of 5th Feb the day before we left on 8th Feb for a week stay
Asked for high floor pool view room inadvance which is exactly what we got.
Downside is that the hotel is a little tired but don't let that put you off. Our room was clean and adequate for our needs, staff were friendly and helpful( chap on front desk was trying to sell excursions cheaper than Thomsons some people went on them) Good choice of food for breakfast & dinner. spent some time around pool lapping up Feb sun ( sunny ever day for us but rained for 7 days before we arrived) free pool towels were supplied. Waer was cool but my wife swam every day.
supermarket turn left out of hotel, next left walk 3 minutes to dual carriageway go straight across and down a small road opposite ( no entry sign) supermarket on right.they also sell phone cards £1.80 gets you 10 minutes of calls home( our pay a you go mobiles could not make calls but could text on them.
Hotel about 15 minutes walk to main square.
Open top bus runs up the side of the hotel every 20 minutes just put your hand out. costs about £11 for 24 hours of unlimited travel seems alot but well worth it.
Taxis outside hotel all day but if you walk down the side road and hail a cab it is much cheaper it cost us 30Dirhams to the main square plus tip ( 12.4 direhams to the Pound) Taxi driver has his own agenda i.e.always knows best eating place, spice shop etc make sure he takes you directly to were you want to go
Money exchange. Same exhange rate wherever you cash your money. we used hotel and read that you need to get receipts as you can only change back up to half what you have exchanged when you leave.Changing back your money is at the Airport do this immediately after checking in as you cannot use it after passport control. We did this they just changed our money did not want receipts but only had £10 or £20 notes so you may still ended up with some dirhams to spend before passport control.
We went on 1 Thomson excusion to Essaouira well worth it had good English speaking guides saw a lot of the different countryside.
Marrekech is well worth a visit as along as you can say no to all the traders and beggars.
