“Lovely place to stay in Marrakech”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2014

We stayed here for a week in March and really appreciated such calm in a bustling city. The Riad is immaculately clean and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is lovely and fresh and plentiful and served on the roof terrace. The terrace is a fabulous place to sit and enjoy the sun with a choice of sofas or sunbeds. We only ate in the Riad one evening and enjoyed the food, we would have dined there again but that is not what we do, we enjoy eating in different places everyday whilst on holiday. The staff are all really polite, friendly and very professional. I would recommend this Riad unreservedly.

We spent four nights at the Tahili. As other reviewers point out it is a few months old and very well decorated. The rooms are very comfortable, although not always as spacious as shown on the website. The bathrooms are very good with spacious showers and heaters available for those with roof lights and not heated. Breakfast can be take up on the roof terrace and was very good, with coffee, fresh orange juice, local breads and pastries, yoghurt and omelettes cooked to order if requested. In fact there was something different on offer every day. The roof terrace was great to sunbathe, however trying to find shade was difficult with only 2 parasols for all of the guests. This will be a problem as the temperatures rise in the summer. There is a hot tub on the roof and a small pool on the ground floor. This was very cold and is located in the centre of Riad so not very relaxing. Our room had only very thin curtains and this was a problem once it was dark and the lights were on as the bathroom and bedroom was at opposite ends of the room. We had a problem with this and raised it with Mohammed. We were offered another room which we took advantage of but were not aware we had to vacate the room the next day. Therefore we were astonished on returning from the Medina to be told we had been given yet another room and the staff had moved all of our things. We felt it was unreasonable to move our things without telling us first and in fact this put a blight on the rest of our time at the Tahili. We understand we were not the first guests to complain about the lack of curtains and it is surprising that the management have not rectified the problem. Mohammed was very helpful and professional at all times and the rest of the staff were very friendly. The location of the Riad was brilliant as it was so near to the Square. Because of the problem with the room we would not return to the Tahili but it is certainly very convenient for the Square and restaurants.

Room Tip: The rooms on the ground floor were quite dark

We had an amazing time in this Riad. I can't really emphasise enough how much the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Mohammed, who will do above and beyond to accommodate your requests and answer all your questions. The owners were around as well and they were also very friendly. It was nice that the owners and Mohammed came around to say goodbye when we left
This kind of service will keep you coming back!!!.
Everything is new, so there is no faults there, rooms are kept nice and clean and mint tea is served all day by request for free. The breakfast is nice and the rooftop is a great place to relax if it not too hot, plus the rooftop jacuzzi is a great addition.
The riad itself is accessible by car right to the front door, which is rare in the Medina and it's very close to the main tourist points i.e. 5-10min walk from Jemaa El Fna, but its still located in a quiet location.
The only thing I will change is the room curtains, they don't really provide you with max privacy. That been said, there is no point to go around this small riad by someone else's room, usually you will stick to the public ares...
We will defiantly come back if we were in Marrakech again. Thank you for a great visit!

We stayed here for a couple of nights after our trek of the Atlas Mountains and it was the perfect way to end the holiday. The Riad has only recently been open. It is very tastefully decorated with a warm and homely feel about the place. It looks beautiful at night with very cleverly placed beautiful lighting lamps. As an avid photographer, I just wanted to take pictures of every corner of the hotel, just to capture it's ambiance. Even though it is so close to the Medina Square, we couldn't believe how quiet and peaceful the riad was. Breakfast is served with a personal touch (not the usual buffer style). It is served when YOU are ready to have it. Mohammed, the director of the hotel, is most polite and courteous, not to mention knowledgeable. The staff are also well dressed and courteous. We also had the pleasure of briefly meeting the owners and they were most approachable people.

There are even power socket points on the rooftop terrace which meant I could do some on the laptop whilst soaking up the sun.

A great place to stay. We will definitely be booking ourselves there again the next time we go to Marrakech.

My boyfriend and I had the great pleasure of staying at Riad Tahili for a week and it couldn't have been any more amazing!!!!!!! It was an oasis on a side street near the Medina, but you would never know there was a crazy market just 5 mins away!

The riad itself was stunning, with incredibly beautiful decor down to every last detail. It was recently completely rebuilt, so everything in it is very clean and state of the art. Our room was so gorgeous we almost couldn't believe it (music suite). There were brand new flat screen TVs in each room and a huge assortment of channels.

The roof terrace was gorgeous, and we enjoyed having breakfast there each morning. There was also a library type room on the ground floor with a tv that was at our disposal and just delightful to sit and read in.

We also did the royal spa treatment and had dinner at the riad. The spa treatment was amazing!!!! One of the absolute best I've had anywhere in the world. And the food- yum!!!! Home made and the cook spent hours making the meals we requested.

Above everything else, I must say that the staff is what truly made the whole trip extra special. The manager, Mohammed was incredibly friendly and so accommodating. No matter what we asked for, he was more than willing to make it happen. It made us feel at home! The rest of the staff was fabulous as well, always friendly and always more than happy to give advice or suggest restaurants/bars. We were also fortunate enough to spend some time with the owners, Dominique and Alain. It was an extra personal touch getting to talk to them about the building of the riad, the decorative aspects, and their lives in Marrakech. Turned out my boyfriend and Alain were both training for the Paris marathon and Alain was thrilled to invite him along for a joint run!

Overall, our trip to Marrakech was unbelievable and I cant imagine that we could have stayed at a more beautiful, hospitable place with such an amazing location. They made us feel completely at home and that's something that's tough to find. I recommend Riad Tahili to anyone who goes to Marrakech- you won't get the same complete package anywhere else!!!!!

We booked a short break to Marrakesh and initially booked another Riad which was awful despite being ranked 27 on Trip Advisor. We had originally looked at this Riad but discounted it as it had so few reviews and we were not sure how many of them were from friends.
In all fairness the other Riad immediately offered us a refund and organized a taxi for us to Riad Tahili.

Once we got here we were amazed how much much better Riad Tahili is. Its all brand new, with lots of Italianesque modern tiles. The bedroom had a separate living room. The roof terrace was perfect and we had breakfast there on most mornings. (Once it was cloudy and too cold)

The location is good. It is down the end of a cul de-sac, very close to the main square and minaret. A car can get right up to the hotel entrance which is much better than a taxi dropping you off with a 10 minute walk through a maze.

We ate in Tahili's restaurant on the first night and were very well looked after. I still cannot believe this Riad is actually cheaper than the original one.

A big thankyou too Madame Dominic, Mohammed and his team for making our stay so pleasurable.

It think you will find this riad shooting up the rankings once it gets some more reveiws

Room Tip: We were shown several rooms and they all looked good

I spent a week at this recently opened Riad and can't recommend it highly enough. The rooms are tastefully decorated with Moroccan furniture, the beds are super-comfortable and the bathrooms very luxurious (as are the bath amenities). The roof terrace is a big asset and while you are very close to 'the square' you are in an oasis of peace and tranquility inside this Riad. Breakfasts were very good and the staff went out of their way to make me feel at home and welcome.
Can't wait to be back.
