“A gem in maze streets of Medina!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012 via mobile

We stayed four nights in the Riad; first time to get into the riad might be a little scary but you get used to narrow, dark back streets of Medina so it is definitely not a deal breaker!
There are 5 rooms only and they are all decorated by the interior designer owner in different aesthetic. Each room is equally beautiful, very chic! I read some people complaint about the way to the riad, darkness of the rooms... then go and stay in a very western way decorated chain hotel! The Riad is in top 5 boutique hotel list at Elle Magazine and definitely deserves it. Very peaceful, great decoration, serves best dinner - we ate in other places too - but the most important part of the riad is Hassan and Abdul! they are amazing!! they are ready for any help 24/7! I hope the owner appreciates their hard work...
the only down side is wi-fi is not ayri g at the riad. I could not get any signal in the room. Breakfast was very decent, diner was superb!
I strongly recommend this riad for those who like to experience life in Medina but. still stay in a chic place!
Use their transportation service cause it's difficult to find the hotel first time, plus you can't carry your luggages by your self that far cause cars can't go in that far into streets.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful place!!! Thanks one more time to Hassan and Abdul!

“Superb and exceptional experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

Initially, when we were looking for accommodation in Marrakech, we thought it was a bit pricey as there were many cheaper hotels around. However, upon arriving and staying in the hotel, the service we have received, the place itself, food and quiet location is worth the money. It felt like being at home after coming back from the hectic city of Marrakesh. The staff, Cyrus the manager, Hassan and Abdul went out of their way to help us with anything we want and always with a smile. Nothing was too much for them. Our first night, we had a traditional Moroccan dinner at the Riad and it was by far the best food we had in Marrakesh. This hotel sets precedence in terms of service, design and food for us. Thank you so much for making our stay a memorable and wonderful.

“Brilliant birthday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012 via mobile

We and my parents in law stayed at the lovely riad meriem for 4 nights. This little oasis hidden in the alleys of the old medina, not far from the souks and main square is a really gem. The staff and owners are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they happily dispense as much assistance and recommendations as you need. The riad is very well maintained and beautifully furnished and decorated. We stayed in the ed and the Matisse rooms, both are superb and have lovely big baths. The roof terrace is fantastic and quiet, also great for catching a breeze to cool down while you have breakfast/drinks/dinner. It has plenty of room and comfy seats to relax. The food at he riad is really exceptional, we ate the first night and last night at the riad for dinner and it was all completely delicious. A truly wonderful place to stay, where you are really made to feel at home and we will definitely return one day. Thank you to all for making our trip brilliant.

“Amazing stay; traditional, classy, excellent service, maximum comfort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

We stayed 1 week in Sept which was low season so we were lucky enough to be the only guests for our first 2 nights and were kindly upgraded to the best room. Our welcome and meal on the roof terrace the first night really set precedence for the rest of the trip and the raid lived up to it throughout the wk. Other guests arrived and we moved to another room, equally as amazing, comfortable and traditional, and we had good company for chilling from the intense heat under the canopies on the roof terrace and enjoying wine there in the evenings after bustle filled days out discovering Marrakesh.
Hassan and the ladies in the riad tended to our every need and provided a good source of recommendations for days and evenings out, and Cyrus' visit every morning always helped us plan our way. The only negative point I can think of is that the bill did mount up as we bought drinks in the riad so, as we had bought our own and were also being served them, we can’t really be sure of whether we short changed ourselves or not. We also found the day trip to the mountains very expensive but I wouldn’t change it as we had such a lovely day... apart from the fact that we lost our driver and were stranded waiting for 20 mins in 45 degree heat with no shade!
I don’t know if we'd go back as I do always like to try somewhere new but I would highly recommend the riad for anyone else considering it. A well needed and truly lovely holiday. Thank you Hassan and Cyrus, and to Madeline for helping us out of a pickle when I accidently booked another hotel with a similar name in error, you were on hand to help us sort our reservation at the last minute and while you were closed and on holiday yourselves!

Room Tip: The owners were very accommodating and as we were there in low season, we booked one of the cheaper...
