We stayed 1 week in Sept which was low season so we were lucky enough to be the only guests for our first 2 nights and were kindly upgraded to the best room. Our welcome and meal on the roof terrace the first night really set precedence for the rest of the trip and the raid lived up to it throughout the wk. Other guests arrived and we moved to another room, equally as amazing, comfortable and traditional, and we had good company for chilling from the intense heat under the canopies on the roof terrace and enjoying wine there in the evenings after bustle filled days out discovering Marrakesh.
Hassan and the ladies in the riad tended to our every need and provided a good source of recommendations for days and evenings out, and Cyrus' visit every morning always helped us plan our way. The only negative point I can think of is that the bill did mount up as we bought drinks in the riad so, as we had bought our own and were also being served them, we can’t really be sure of whether we short changed ourselves or not. We also found the day trip to the mountains very expensive but I wouldn’t change it as we had such a lovely day... apart from the fact that we lost our driver and were stranded waiting for 20 mins in 45 degree heat with no shade!
I don’t know if we'd go back as I do always like to try somewhere new but I would highly recommend the riad for anyone else considering it. A well needed and truly lovely holiday. Thank you Hassan and Cyrus, and to Madeline for helping us out of a pickle when I accidently booked another hotel with a similar name in error, you were on hand to help us sort our reservation at the last minute and while you were closed and on holiday yourselves!

My husband and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary in this Riad. We had the most fantastic 3 nights stay! Having arrived in the evening when it was dark and dusty and after following a lovely man with a cart containing our luggage it was amazing to arrive at the Riad! It was down windy alleyways, which looked a bit scary at first but wasnt once you were used to them. We arrived at a big dark door and were blown away with the sight behind this door, a peaceful haven. We were greeted by Hassan and Abdul and had a lovely meal waiting for us. Our room was lovely and just what we had imagined it would be. The bath was massive and ideal for two and to drink champagne in!! We arranged a guide for the next morning (through the Riad) who took us on a walk around the medina and showed us areas we would never have seen before. We would highly recommend this as we never got lost getting back to the Riad after this! Did a trip to the Atlas Mountains and had a fab meal at the Foundouk Restaurant. The Manager Cyrus was really helpful and Hassan and Abdul were lovely, with Abdul even walking us to and from the restaurant so we didnt get lost! Would definitey go again and would recommend it.

This riad is hidden down a little side alley but is well worth the traipse past the mewling cats and playing children. It has been very elegantly done out and the rooms are are well appointed; it's a good mix of traditional Moroccan style with tasteful modern flourishes. The location is good, a sort walk to the main square, and the staff helpful (perhaps a little bit too much so. As experienced travellers we are happy to follow our noses and the English concierge Cyrus was a little bit full on with his recommendations and apparent belief that Marrakesh would eat us alive, albeit his approach would be perfect for someone a little less confident). All in all an excellent, good value place to stay, an oasis from the madness and perfect spot to finish the night with a relaxing shisha under the stars.

Just had 7nights at Riad Meriem I think it is Exactly what all the reviews we read say it is, positives are wonderfully helpful staff, will do anything to please, a real Marrakesh Riad experience with a warm friendly feel. If we had to find negatives then a little cold having dinner in the dinning room, and very Smokey on an evening when the fire has been lit.
But overall we had a wonderful time and maybe someday we will return.
