A small group of us stayed at Riad Magi's whilst visiting Marrakech last weekend and what a beautiful little haven it is! Tucked away at the back of the Medina the Riad has beautifully restored rooms all with en suites, all built around a central courtyard, with fountains and orange trees. It was so peaceful and such a contrast after a day bartering in the bustling souks!
We also did a cooking course in the courtyard under the orange trees so that was a fab experience - learning to cook our own chicken tagine's & meat tangia's! Plus the manager took us to the Mellah food market to get our our local supplies of spices and preserved lemons etc... so we can now recreate authentic Moroccan food back home. A thoroughly enjoyable and recommendable weekend - I thought the Riad was excellently located and beautiful, the staff were so helpful and friendly, the markets were great fun and Marrakech was just as mad as I expected it to be! All in all a stunning 10/10!
