“Amazing...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2009

We have just returned from this amazing Riad. From the moment we arrived in Marrakech, the staff took care of us as if we were family. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the birds sing all day long. It is a boutique hotel with only a few rooms, and it feels so personal, as if it belongs to you. The decoration is very traditional and relaxing. There is a car and driver available for whenever you want to go into Marrakech [about 15 minutes], and they also organised a tour into the Atlas Mountains for us. Breakfast is a treat, sitting out in the sun on the lovely terrace. There are no set meal times, you just do whatever you want, whenever you want. Marrakech is chaotic, but charming [and expensive!]. We can't recommend Dar Ayniwen and its wonderful staff enough - we left our hearts there... Enjoy!

Once again, we were absolutely overwhelmed by the fantastic time that we spent in the hands of the staff of this beautiful villa hotel.

We feel that this is the ideal location to stay in Marrakech due to its balance f being at the same time near to the town (15 minutes by car) and in the quiet and beautiful palm groves.

We will certainly be back as soon as we can.
The shuttle service is a definite plus and makes going to and from the city an easy and carefree experience.

Dar Ayniwen is one of the most enchanting places we have ever stayed (and we are extremely demanding when it comes to luxury boutique destinations).

Never mind the beautfiul house and its sorroundings, the great home cooked meals, easy access to the hammam and sauna, as well as never ending provision of games and entertainment, what makes this place a true jewel is the fantastic service provided by the staff. My husband happened to get sick one of the days we stayed there, and the staff could not have been more helpful in facilitating solutions (fetching medicine at the pharmacy, preparing a light meal with no previous notice, and even checking up on us throughout the day to offer proactive help). They anticipated every single one of our needs and made the entire stay even more memorable.

First of all, if you are looking for your standard 5 star hotel this is not for you. If you are looking for a place with loads of style, character and the best service in Marrakech, this is where you should go. Lovely grounds, great food, very stylish rooms with huge bathrooms and loads of character. But the service is what makes it so very special. You feel like staying in your friend's villa with a good mix of attention to detail and respect for your privacy.

My husband and I spent the most romantic days in September at this Villa. We knew that we had arrived somewhere special as soon as we started driving in the Palmaraie towards the hotel. Once we arrived we felt like we were entering a real-life oasis. The place resembles an Arabic palace and the gardens are filled with statues, fountains and gorgeous details every step one takes.
Once we checked in, we were treated with the most magnificent hospitality by staff that made us feel like royalty. We had the pleasure (and choice) to switch rooms half way through our stay because we wanted to experience more than one of the wonderful suites this place had to offer. First we stayed at the Tiwaline II and the suite was so romantic (including a private garden for our meals) we almost changed our minds about moving, we just didnt think it could get better.. but it did. We switched to the Roman Pavllion which is right by the pool. This suite is a work of art, as is the rest of the hotel. Everything is detailed with such perfection that a couple does not need to leave the hotel.
We recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Morocco for their honeymoon or a romantic gettaway. The place and the staff really are the best we have ever seen. We want to go back!!

Paradise. The philosophy is that the place should be like your own home. It is, but so much better. The villa is beautiful. Fantastic furnishings, awesome rooms and a garden and pool to die for. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are amazing and incredibly attentive. The food delicious. Our room, the Mocha suite had its own beatiful private terrace where we had breakfast every morning. The hotel transport is available 24/7 and we never had to pay for a cab. We came home after a week the most relaxed we've ever been, and would go back at the drop of a hat... Its worth every penny and more. Go!!

My wife and I visited Dar Ayniwen in March 2008 in search of a relaxing break and buoyed by the consistently excellent reviews placed on this website. We were not to be disappointed. It would be onerous to list all the considerate touches of the staff which sets them apart and which made our stay such a pleasure. We stayed at first in a suite in the main house (which was extremely charming and tastefully decorated, by a past film crew in fact). Then we were very kindly upgraded, a completely unsolicited gesture from the ever helpful management, to The Pavilion. This is a small villa set back from the pool with a lovely veranda, to which meals and drinks are served, overlooking the picturesque gardens and yet in perfect privacy. The outdoor Jacuzzi is an extra luxury. The overwhelming feel of a stay at Dar Ayniwen is that of effortless relaxation. The liveried staff seem perpetually happy going about their business and could not be more helpful which adds to the lovely atmosphere. Trips into Marrakech town (ca. 20mins I recall) are seemingly available at any time; a car is laid on to deliver and then recollect from anywhere you wish. Even after we left, the helpfulness of Stephane and Aziz was further reinforced as I absent-mindedly left a jumper in the car which took us to the airport; suffice to say it was kindly posted to my address in London straight away. If only more hotels struck the balance of top notch customer service without invading one’s privacy so well.
