“Perfect break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014 via mobile

Just returned from 4 wonderful nights at "The Dar" ! Went with 2 girlfriends and stayed in the Romain Pavillion absolutely perfect for our needs. Every morning our breakfast was served on our terrace on a beautifully dressed table . The shuttle car is a terrific facility and drivers drive with the utmost care in and around the city ! Stefan , owner, and hotel manager Aziz are wonderful at suggesting and organising things to do . Garden so peaceful , pool beautiful and outdoor terrace to eat lovely I would love to return . Carol

Such a lovely stay at Dar Ayniwen! We were treated so well by all the staff from the moment we arrived to the moment we went home. Could not have received better service, honest! Stephane who owns the property is lovely, takes personal care in all his guests. Rooms lovely and clean, we had about four cleaners in the room each day! We were asked every day what our plans were, nothing was too much trouble, whether we wanted to stay in all day or go out. the food is very good! Breakfast was lovely and we had a choice of having it in our room or by the pool.

The location of Dar Ayniwen is about 15 mins drive from the Medina, but this was perfect as would not have wanted to stay there. The drivers from Dar Ayniwen will take you where you need to go and collect you, up until 11.30pm, this is a complimentary service but we always gave a tip to the drivers.

Research restaurants before you go, we made the mistake on the first evening of not booking anywhere and ended up in an ok restuarant. Next evening we booked Le Blokk, it's on the Palmeria close to Dar Ayniwen, it's a restaurant with entertainment. We had three Jazz singers who took it in turns to sing, they were all great. The service here also amazing! Also Pepe Nero and L'Annexe were lovely, well worth a visit. All good value for money.

We had never been to Marrakech before, was a great experience and if we return will definitely be to Dar Aywinen

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely, our room had a jacuzzi and private garden, was called La Rotunde

Welcomed with a warm smile from Aziz , it was lovely to be back. After a hectic trip we felt immediately relaxed - like going home. There have been a few changes since our last visit - the change in heating to pool means it is lovely and warm in March - so for swimmers this is lovely. Also liked the beach baskets provided in your room with towels to take all your bits to garden. It goes without saying the the garden is stunning, service excellent - especially car shuttle service.
Just very relaxing - you choose your timing for breakfast lunch , dinner. Thank you again.

Room Tip: Visit new museum at Palmerie short distance away

Loved this place.......a real find. The service was impeccable, discreet but attentive and on many occasions it felt very much like Butler service, especially with the free shuttle to the centre/airport.. The food was divine and the accommodation was impressive. We stayed in La Rotunde which was ideal with children, away from the main house adjacent the aviaries and with its own hot tub, enjoyed by both us and the children. The pool is larger than what you would normally find in Marrakech and the fact that it is heated ensured the children were able to enjoy it as we stayed late March/early April. We really didn't want to leave. We love travel and going to new places but we have promised to return to this wonderful place which is new one for us!!! Thanks Stephane/Aziz and all the staff for a wonderful stay..............

Room Tip: La Rotunde great if you have children but would also like a romantic suite.

The best place we have ever stayed at. Totally exclusive, superb house with the most beautiful antiques and fascinating curios. The most attentive staff, so helpful and friendly and kind. Food is sublime. Gardens are stunning. Heated pool is real bonus as is the free shuttle from the airport and into Marrakech. Highly reommended. We certainly are going back again next year!

Room Tip: we liked the Scherherazade room as it has a super king size bed, huge bathroom and was on the ground...

Dar Ayniwen was outstanding. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful - away from all of the action in Marrakech. The staff was always helpful and made you feel at home staying there. We liked the restaurant. The food was great and my wife and daughter enjoyed the chance to do a cooking class in the kitchen. Transportation was always available, making it easy to go to the old city or elsewhere in the area. My only complaint was that the wifi was a little tricky at times. But, we would highly recommend Dar Ayniwen.

Dar Ayniwen Villa Hotel doesn't feel like a hotel, more like being a welcome guest at a private home. Great service and delicious food. Our kids (3 and 1) loved the birds, the pool and the amazing breakfast with Moroccan pancakes. The free transport is an amazing convenience. Highly recommended!
