#Abdul met us from our cab on the edge of the old town and took us on our first adventure, to find the Riad Star. The adventure was short because #Abdul knew the way but we did get our first sighting of the fabled "street cats of Marrakech". They are quite cute but I wasn't sure if they were safe to stroke. Never the less, they did add a little excitement to the trip as well as a fun way to dispose of left over meat. Once we'd arrived at the Riad Star we were treated superbly and wanted for nothing. Regardless of the time of day. The traditional breakfast was a delicious and nutritious way to start the day. I would love to go again. Thanks to the whole Star team.

Room Tip: We had the Jazz room which did have a complimentary clarinet but was, as the French say, "sans...

After spending three days in the mountains, we were like rabbits in headlights when we first arrived in the centre of Marrakech. Behind the front door, the Riad is beautiful and we were greeted by wonderful staff that made us feel very welcome. The room was beautiful, the plunge pool and seating area was gorgeous and the roof terrace was a lovely extra facility. The food was delicious and the entire Riad was immaculately clean.
The Riad is very close to the Souks and main square. We very quickly became familiar with the area after the first day and with the help of the mobile phone that the Riad provided for when we got lost. We did use it on the first day but it was still nice to have it with us for the remainder of the time. My husband braved the Hammam experience and absolutely loved it!
As mentioned in other reviews, the hosts Abdel and Miriam were exceptionally good and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic time was had by the entire family. Thank you for making our stay a wonderful experience.

I spent 4 nights at Riad Star and cannot recommend it highly enough! The riad is stunning with unique rooms and in a great location, only a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the souks and main square.

What really made our stay, were the fantastic hosts Abdel and the two Meriems. Meriem is a fantastic cook and I'm missing the delicious breakfasts already! Abdel made sure we were equipped with a map, directions and a phone in case we got lost. Nothing was too much trouble, including coming to find us when we were well and truly lost to walk us back to the riad.. His advice and recommendations were so helpful in finding our feet in our first visit to Marrakech.

We were so well looked after from the moment we arrived and made to feel completely at home. Thank you Abdel and all the team for our making our stay a fantastic one! Lucy C

Room Tip: We stayed in the Chiquita room, the only room accessed from the sunny roof terrace - quiet, private...

From start to finish we could not fault our Riad Star experience. We booked directly through the website and received prompt, helpful replies resulting in a smooth confirmation process. We accepted the offer of the Riad arranging an airport transfer, this was essential and assisted in us arriving slightly less frazzled than we would have done trying to find it independantly!
The Riad was exactly what we wanted, an oasis in the crazy, beautiful world of Marrakech. Riad Star is tucked away in the maze of the Medina, near to the souks and walking distance from the main square. Yes, discreet and difficult to find but all part of the charm of staying within the Medina.
The Rainbow room was exactly as booked and perfect for our stay, unfortunately we had a small issue with the shower but were moved to the Paris room (without question) for the duration of our stay (I believe the issue was quickly resolved).
The Riad was spotless, and attention to detail is high but it is without doubt that the staff make this Riad as special as it is.

Room Tip: The Paris room is beautiful however the bathroom and bedroom area are not completely private (large...

Had 2 nights at Riad Star- would echo all comments on here, its a fantastic experience. The decor is amazing, and the roof terrace is a lovely space to while a away the hours. Miriam is a fabulous cook- I am still thinking of those yummy omelettes at breakfast time. Abdel is a great host and takes a lot of time and care to make sure you are happy and comfortable during your stay. On the morning we left, we had inadvertently left 1 of our bags behind- he rang our shuttle driver to stop and wait on our way to the airport, & caught up with us on his scooter to hand it over. A big thank you to all at Riad Star for such a great ending to our Moroccan adventure....

My friend and I (two mature ladies) have just returned from a lovely three night stay at the Riad Star in Marrakech and can confirm that all previous reviews are true and accurate. The booking agent in the UK was friendly and efficient and we were met on arrival at the airport by a smart, smiling, friendly taxi driver. The hotel manager, Abdel, met us where the taxi dropped us and escorted us on foot to the Riad Star, just a short walk away. Once there we were made to feel like friends rather than guests, introduced to the other staff, shown around, and served with a lovely three course dinner and coffee afterwards on the roof terrace under the stars. Breakfast was just as nice and served with a smile on the terrace, at any time we wished/surfaced! Before we set out to explore Marrakech, Abdel made sure we were all tooled up with a map, marked with recommended places of interest, GPS on our own phones and the hotel's own mobile phones (one each) with strict instructions to ring him any time, day or night, if we were lost or need of assistance. All of which made me slightly more nervous but Abdel reassured us that we would be quite safe and we were. In fact, I still can't quite believe how nice and smiley and friendly all the Marrakech people we had the pleasure of meeting were. We had so much fun haggling in the souks - it really is a game, so much more enjoyable if you're prepared to play! We walked through the souks to the Majorelle Gardens, a beautiful oasis of calm with a lovely cafe where we had a lovely lunch, and jumped a horse and carriage taxi back to the Medina just as it was going dark and the square was coming to life for the night. We did have to phone Abdel as we got 'lost' but we were only five minutes away from the Riad Star and he met us with a smile. Thanks for everything Abdel - the service was outstanding, the Riad was lovely, and Marrakech was mad but magical! Highly recommended for an unforgettable city break.

Room Tip: A nice feature of my room were the two windows that opened on to the internal courtyard area, which...
