Me and my sister were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful riad in September. I would definitely recommend a transfer from the hotel as you may find Djemma el fna square but not the little gem hidden in the crazy souks.
As we were the first guests to stay at the Riad, Abdullah the manager was eager to please us and he did not fail. He had arranged a feast cooked by the very talented Meriem, up on the cool rooftop, with a musician. As the only guests we felt spoilt rotten and had the run of the house, we had a room each, I stayed in the Josephine room and my sister stayed in the Paris room. Each of the rooms have a different style but its difficult to recommend one over the other as they are all beautiful with attention to detail, I really liked the quirky little things when and where you least expected it, if you are a light sleeper its worth noting the Josephine room has a window and it can get noisy at night if you are a light sleeper, but i didnt mind this.
When you venture out Abdel wont let you leave without a map, a phone and advice and he will be there waiting when you return, its worth saying that the staff really are on call so if your plans change or you are going to be late, telephone and let them know so they are not waiting around.
A Big thank you to all the staff at the Riad Star, no matter what time we returned they were always around with a smile and a cup of tea. Shukran .
