We were given a very warm welcome with mint tea and lots of helpful tips from the manager, Pierre. The riad was very tastefully refurbished and an oasis of calm and tranquility after the hustle and bustle of the streets outside. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. One of the big pleasures was eating a leisurely breakfast on the roof terrace with a view of the storks' nests on the walls of the Badi Palace. The food was truly delicious, particularly the home-made jams and the baked pastries. The riad was so lovely it was hard to tear ourselves away to go out sight-seeing! We recommend booking the airport transfer service through the hotel.

We have just got back from 4 days in Marrakech and stayed at Dar Les Cigognes. After choosing it based on the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor I have to agree with all the previous comments.

The Riad is beautiful. The room we stayed in had all the traditional aspects you would want to see in a Riad, with little alcoves, ornate ceilings and beautiful Morrocan ornaments. On top of that it was immaculately clean and had all the modern amenities that you would expect. The communal areas are lovely and the terrace was a particular highlight of our stay. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning and drinks on the terrace in the evening was a great way to relax and look out across the city.

The welcome on arrival was friendly and informative. The management were happy to offer advice and arrange any trips. Their recommendations were great and really added to our experience. The staff were very helpful and attentive.

The location is very central. The Riad is next to the palace and is a 10 minute walk to the main square. We walked everywhere during our stay with ease and felt safe doing so, even very late at night.

Overall a great place to stay and I highly recommend it.

This place could not have been better. First - the people who work there are friendly, knowledgeable and completely willing to go out of their way to make your experience perfect. They felt like family by the time we left (and we have still kept in contact with them). The location is close to everything you'd want to go to, but wasn't noisy or chaotic.

The food was excellent - when we got in the first night around midnight, they had everything set up for us in a private dining room. Breakfast on the roof was easily one of the best parts of the trip. They bring you coffee (or tea), entirely too much good food and you can sit back and enjoy the shade while looking over the city.

Our room is prettier than the pictures, and was incredibly clean. The entire riad is well taken care of - even the kitchen was beautiful!

Most importantly, the people who work at the hotel will set up anything that you want to do. You don't have to worry about being ripped off because they work out the price ahead of time, so no concerns about getting there and suddenly the price going up. Everyone should take a cooking class - not only did we learn to cook remarkable food, but we got to know the people who worked in the riad even better.

Everyone who steps foot in Marrakesh should stay here.

I spent 3 nights with my husband as my birthday gift... Although we took close to 45 mins from the bus station as we have taken a wrong turn, but on arrival we we welcomed with warmth and made the walk really worth while.. We later learnt from Pierre the manager that unfortunately the maps of Marrekech are never up to date and they are too many small lanes, which led to to leave our dinner and sight-seeing plans with them...their staff are always friendly and the food are freshly made, and they even accomodated and I had my last lunch upon request...
Their rooms feels really rustic especially the painting on the roof were amazing.
Last little plus- upon check out they have even filled in out exit immigation cards..
Big bravo and we are sure we'll be back.
