“Spacious room, nice staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

This hotel has a spacious room with a small fridge and air-con. The big bathroom is quite clean, but not to every detail. The shower-head is fixed to the wall - one negative for me. The staff at the reception is kind, people in the bar too, just a bit slow. The lobby is nice, the WI-Fi very weak (if at all). The 2 pools are fine, however, not much sunlight can get in in the afternoon. Sun-beds are in a limited number. The food is nice, compared to other 4*hotels in Morocco.
The hotel is not far away from the theater and the railway station - a nice building with good coffee and McDonalds :D It is nice to walk around in this district, you can find a shopping center at the 19. November roundabout. We even went to the market by foot. People in yellowish taxis will honk at you, offering a ride. If you take it, always ask for a discount. Around the hotel there are some small shops where you can buy water or postcards, usually at a better price than in the center. Food sold at the streets and eaten by locals look and smell delicious, maybe worth a visit. Satisfied after all.

A two or three star at best, the hotel is in quite a poor area. First impressions are not so good. we got no information on arrival, only lead to our room. We were given no information about meal times or any other details of the hotel. As our stay progressed we came to enjoy it a little more, but the staff were quite non-communicative. The food was as we had previously read up on, basic but presentable enough, a fair diet for non fussy eaters. The room was 2 star servicable, but o.k. at that level. The bar was closed for Ramadan which we did not know about in advance, so there was no alcohol available during our stay. The pools were o.k. but the layout of the buildings meant that there was only a chance of sunshine for 3 hours or so per day. This we offset by using the sunroof, which was unused by other guests as it is not advertised. It is only 10 minutes walk from the Plaza shopping area and 20 minutes walk from the Medina and Souks, so it has that in its favour, so we would use it again.First appearances can be deceptive.

I stayed here earlier this year and my experience was quite good. We had a family with hidden with us and the staff were extremely helpful in providing whatever we needed including hot milk for our baby. The food was nice with a big range. Breakfast was adequate too, I wasn't expecting much but it was better than my last experience elsewhere. I would say the rooms could have been cleaner, when we switched on the air con it seemed to fill the room with dust which made me feel unwell having dust allergy.

The location was good, close to a McDonald's and walking distance from The Plaza, about 5 minutes. It didn't seem like a very popular hotel as there were hardly any people there.

Oh and if you like swimming, it was impossible to go in their pool as it was always freezing cold! The pool area was surrounded by trees which means the sunlight doesn't hit the water, hence the ice cold water!

Overall, not bad but there are definitely room for improvements!!

I have a mixed feelings after stay in that hotel. It is located in the new area of Marrakesh. Few minutes from the train station by foot.
When we arrived to the hotel I was amazed by a beauty of the hotel and lobby bar. Staff on the reception desk was extremely helpfull and friendly. The room was spacious, nicely furnished. They have nice 2 swimming pools, which are very helpful during 45 degrees outside in July in Marrakesh. Everything from that perfect for 4 star hotel.
The terrible thing which was worse than in cheap hostel was breakfast. The worse I ever have eaten!!! We went to the dining room for 9 A.M. (it was served until 10 A.M.) and it looked like after the storm!! Tables were not cleaned after previous guests. There were 6 waiters!!! But they were only standing, walking and talking. There were remains of good on the table. Some rolls, croissants, one type of cheese, some jam honey. Thats all!! There were not meat or ham. Tea, cold coffee!!! and juice. When it was finished we had to wait 15 minutes for refill. With 8 waiters!! The other day we arrives 8.30 to catch something to eat but the situation was similar. I found one egg, which I dropped fast. I was waiting for some more, but there wasnt.
In my opinion hotel cwould be nice if they changed everyone from the restaurant staff!
The best idea is to go for breakfast/dinner to the restaturants, which are on direction to the medina. They served delicious dishes for good value.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony. Only half rooms have it.

This hotel is well located in the Gueliz area near the main railway station and is fairly modern, though some attention to some of the rooms is needed. The first night we were offered a rather tired room that requires improvement. Once we complained on the second day we were kindly upgraded to a much better room. Our second room was very nice, large and spacious and had a balcony overlooking the pool area. I quite liked my room and reception staff are helpful, however, the breakfast served at this hotel is terrible, in fact the worst breakfast I have ever been served in my entire life! The food selection is incredibly poor. Poor quality food and hot drinks. No cereals, no continental meats, just some boiled eggs, some yoghurt, stale very dry bread, and nasty tasting olives and tomatoes with no taste. I was incredibly disappointed with the breakfast and the staff in the breakfast area are not helpful either. Often there was no cutlery to be found and the drinks dispenser was often empty. Staff were seen chatting to each other, chatting to customers, or sitting down on chairs enjoying the heat.
The satelite TV in the room also has very bad reception and you can hardly see the images on every single channel! The chambermaids would also not clean the room properly and in fact the floor and especially the rugs in the room were rather filthy!
I appreciated the free wi-fi in the lobby, but I do not think I would visit this hotel again. I would rather visit a hotel which serves nice breakfast and has more care for good customer service.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool are quieter.

Stayed here for my honeymoon - they upgraded the room free of charge as a present for us and treated us like royalty throughout our stay. The room was fabulous and cleAn, easily better than most four star hotels in the UK and the location is only a ten minute stroll from the central shopping area. All in all, a fabulous and memorable experience! Very highly recommended!

we had many issues with the hotel and there isn't enough space to list them all!
we made a special request when booking for a nice room as it was our wedding anniversary. The room we were given had limescale in the bathroom and the dresser table was not fixed securely to the wall. My husband complained as the room we got was not one that had been advertised on the internet. First reception said they were fully booked and after an hour they put us in another room. The 2nd room was slightly larger but the balcony doors didn't lock. If we wanted to go out we'd have to call maintenance each time to come secure the balcony doors. The hotel's promises that it'd gt fixed within 24 hours didn't happen. The air-con unit was so loud at night that we often only managed 4 or 5 hours sleep. Again we were promised it'd get fixed but it wasn't. We asked to borrow their iron only to be told that it wasn't possible and the staff would iron our clothes for a fee. Having 4 trousers, couple of t-shirts, 2 maxi dresses and 2 blouses ironed would have cost 370 dirhams (£29). It was cheaper for us to buy our own iron (which we did).
The reception staff did not have a local map (something you'd expect from a 4* hotel) so we had to buy our own. Their was a lack of hot breakfast and we had to make specific requests for what we wanted at breakfast (again not what i have encountered from previous 4* hotels who have always had a hot breakfast ready). The bathroom shower curtain was dirty and the curtain rail had limescale on it. I would not recommend this to anyone if you're looking for a relaxing stress free holiday
