“Another perfect visit to Dar Zemora”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

We stayed at Dar Zemora at the end of June 2014. We have stayed before and loved it, and this visit also was wonderful. The atmosphere and peacefulness of this boutique hotel cannot be underestimated - so relaxing, so calming and utterly charming. The food is top notch and the staff can't do enough for you. We stayed in the Pavillion this time and it was fantastic. Absolutely loved the room and the bathroom, and having our own pool was amazing. Can't recommend highly enough for a peaceful place to stay whilst visiting the hustle and bustle that is Marrakech.

Everything about Dar Zemora is wonderful. It's and oasis of peace and quiet and a perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Everything is perfect from the rooms, cleanliness, service, quality of food and ambiance.

From the genuine warmth of the welcome to the delicious and delightfully prepared food, from the attentive but never intrusive service to the tasteful decor and beautiful gardens, this place was everything we'd hoped it would be. Our only regret is that we hadn't discovered it years ago. Many who have return year after year and we'll be joining them. If you're after a relaxing few days in idyllic surroundings, look no further.

Room Tip: the Perla Suite has an enormous roof terrace where breakfast is served

Dar Zemora is a beautiful hotel with stunning gardens, a picturesque pool area and very friendlily staff.

If you want to completely relax with a book and switch off from work/home it's the perfect getaway. Great position to get into the city centre and explore the medina without having to stay in a noisy central hotel. If you like gardening this is an oasis, incredible Roses! During our stay I was poorly from food I ate in the medina (not the hotel) and the staff couldn't have looked after me better, really kind.

I can't recommend Dar Zemora enough, one of my favourite places in the world.

Room Tip: The Pavillion was brilliant for this trip as there were three of us so two in one room and one in th...

This was our first trip to Dar Zemora in June and we had wondered if we'd find it too hot. We are regular visitors but never in the summer. We had a wonderful week and appreciated the lack of crowds. It was hot (mid 40's) at times but we adjusted our normal pattern to go out in the morning for any exploring/shopping and then had lovely lazy afternoons around the pool.

As ever the staff were just lovely and Youssef - well just a star. Our grown up daughter was unwell for a day and nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff including the lovely chambermaids were so sweet and concerned - we were really touched by their kindness and care. Thank you to all.

As ever we had delicious food, and a very special dinner in the garden one evening under a full moon. We ate out also on a few nights and especially enjoyed the roof terrace restaurant at La Sultana. We know the sister hotel on the coast from a very successful trip there last year which we combined with Dar Zemora to make a longer holiday.

The joy for us with Dar Zemora is that however much it is a wrench to leave, we ALWAYS know we'll be back soon. It's a lovely feeling and it's a place that has become very special to us.

Revisiting Dar Zemora is like going home. You are greeted by the same staff as previous years, the same high standard of food, service and care from the moment you book. This is testament not only the professionalism of the management but also the warmth of the delightful Moroccan staff. Previously believing the world to be too large to visit the same place twice, I find myself paradoxically drawn to Dar Zemora when I need a holiday for rest, tranquility & beauty. Beauty in the form of the hotel & gardens themselves; painstakingly developed over years using traditional Moroccan styles & craftsmanship which continue to reveal themselves with every further visit.
