“Extreme value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

I stayed night here, and I was very happy with my stay. First, the hotel is very inexpensive, but the staff will treat you as a very special guest. I wanted to give them tips they kept vanishing before I got back! The kitchen staff are kind and will make you nice food on request. There is a nice terrace and a nice pool. It's pretty relaxing for such a good price.

It's in the new city, so you have to cab it or walk to the medina. It's a 20 minute walk to the train station... or 3 minute cab. I'm not sure it's safe after dark, but the staff would tell you. Such nice people.

We had a standard room and it had a big bed, full bathroom, dressers, terrace, vanity, couch and coffee table. It was clean, and had a very nice air conditioner.

Many reviews mention awful breakfast. This may be because of Ramadan, but our breakfast was delicious. We had fresh juice, croissants, baguettes, cheese, water, coffee and tea. All fresh.

My only complaint was that the sheets were scratchy.

A gem of a hotel. We had spent the previous night at La Rennasaince and were very disappointed. When we walked into this hotel and asked to look at a room we experienced an inviting and cordial vibe from the young lady at the desk. We booked two rooms which were spotlessly clean, the air con worked perfectly, the pool is a hidden surprise, and the breakfast was good. All of this for a much lower rate than we had paid the night before for a room that did not even compare. We had an excellent experience at this property.

Room Tip: Request a high floor with a balcony

Stayed here two nights...one at the beginning and one at the end of a trekking holiday.
Hotel was fine for our needs. Rooms were relatively spacious and clean with excellent aircon and a balcony although the beds were pretty hard (the second room we stayed in seemed softer, but this could have been because we'd spent 3 days in the mountains!)
Bathroom was again clean with decent hot shower.
Breakfast was a bit of a let down with only bread, a few dry pastries and boiled eggs. Coffee wasn't great either, but it certainly wasn't a bad hotel overall.

We were moved here free of charge for one night so our review will reflect that.
Very clean rooms, breakfast nice.
Our room was a double, it has a sofa and a balcony. The others in our party didn't get a balcony.
Free wifi
A small pool area - it was like a sun trap.
Very pleasant hotel

Bathrooms: Clean with Western toilet, bathtub with shower attachment, bidet, plentiful hot water and excellent water pressure.
Rooms: Some might describe them as soulless, but they were also spacious, bright, and warm. Beds were very comfortable and furnishings included: desk, table, sofa, chair, refrigerator, and flat screen TV with several channels in Arabic, French, Spanish and English. No view.
Climate control: Both air conditioning and heat available.
Breakfast: Included in the room price. Consisted of a limited variety of breads/pastries, fresh orange juice, undrinkable coffee, syrupy mint tea (even for North Africa), butter, jam, and cheese spread.
Other: Pool and restaurant on the premises. In room wifi is included in the price. Strong signal.
Decent location about 30 minutes walk from the main square, 15 or less from the train station, close to Jardin Majorelle and near a variety of cafés and restaurants. Friendly staff. Daily maid service, including fresh towels.
We moved here after our first choice, a budget riad in the medina, left my seventy+ year old father feeling less than comfortable. This trip is the first international travel he's done in well over 30 years that didn't involve a cruise ship. The Gomassine was definitely more his style.

Room Tip: We booked online but, price is definitely negotiable. Especially in winter away from the holidays.
