We have just come back from a wonderful break at La Sultana in Marrakech. The hotel is beautiful, the room (a junior suite) was spacious and decorated to a very high standard. The food was fantastic, but the thing that really made it stand out was the wonderful staff, they were incredibly attentive and friendly and really made you feel welcome and at ease. It is our first stay at an SLH and we certainly plan to go to another. Anyone thinking of visiting Marrakech or just going to a great hotel for a luxury break will not be disappointed with this hotel.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. Each detail is excellent. We booked in for a Junior Suite and asked for a room with a balcony. And the Concierge managed it to give us a beautiful room with a great balcony looking to the swimming pool. The bathroom was like you feel in thousands and one night. A very romantic place. I really would like to give a compliment to the cleaning persons: They tidied up the rooms very carefully; each day there were petals of roses in the bathroom.
The Quarter in which the hotel is located is very interesting. You can look to a market from the top of the hotel. But you have to walk about 15 minutes to the souks.
And one great welcome: We arrived at about 12 o`clock and the management of the hotel gave us a room for the time our room was prepared. Thanks for the wunderful stay.

Room Tip: Elefant room

This hotel is the most exquisite place we have ever visited. Our Elephant bedroom was so beautiful, romantic and comfortable I could have stayed there for ever! The attention to details and its architecture throughout the hotel made us feel we were experiencing old Marrakech. The food and service were fantastic. Having dinner at their Terrace's Restaurant while watching the sky and hearing their prayer's calling was mystical! Spending a day hiking the Atlas Mountains and having lunch there was amazing. Would love to go back... Only if we can stay at La Sultana! :)

We only stayed in this hotel for a few days wishing we could have stayed for a bit longer. La Sultana is a beautifully designed hotel combining 5 separate riads, each one of them have different feel and finishes. Some riads are minimalistic and traditional and some very bold and colourful eager to surprise you with distinctive African furniture. We have stayed in the Africa themed riad in the gazelle room. The room wasn’t very large but was well designed and comfortable. Housekeeping went the extra mile to keep our room clean and tidy, rose petals in the bathroom and traditional sweets and nuts on a tea table were well received. Small touches like chocolates at night and complementary gifts made us feel very special. Everything from arrival to departure was perfect and well thought The hotel staff are well trained and exceptionally polite & helpful but not intrusive.
Breakfast in the hotel simply amazing with prepared to order dishes. The ingredients used are the highest quality and cooked to perfection. Those tasty dishes are served in the restaurant area, which is beautifully designed around the indoor swimming pool.
On the first night we drank cocktails in the basement bar that resembles a luxury boat, the barmaid was very friendly and made as feel very welcome.
One evening we used the indoor pool in Spa area and had an amazing experience there, which made us feel very invigorated before a night out.
Throughout our stay we used different communal areas, which were designed in an individual style and for different purpose, finishes in the hotel are wonderful and you can admire so many pieces of beautiful furniture and decorative objects around the hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel to couples for romantic breaks.
