Riyad El Cadi is a wonderful riyad in the heart of the Medina. Excellent service, food. Room was beautiful and spacious. My family had a marvelous time there and hope to return sometime in the future.

We arrived at the Riyad very exhausted from the train trip from Casablanca and from the moment we walked down the alley way 3 minutes from the square we knew this was a great find.

The staff are friendly and informative. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful. The beds are comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms are inviting, maintained and serviced.

It is a fantastic way to get the most out of the city. You are so close to the chaos and ambiance that is the medina while being able to chill in a warm and relaxing environment.

Thank you to the whole El Cadi Team.

Room Tip: Everyroom is well decorated.

Upon a recommendation from friends we stayed a couple of nights at the Riyad. Loved every minute. Everything is done with grace. We seldom experienced such a fine balance between an attentive service but also tranquility. The artwork is superb. The cooking class is also highly recommended. I wish we could go back right now. Riyad El Cadi absolutely made our holiday in Marrakech . Our suite - Berber, was comfortable, clean, superbly decorated , all amenities available. The Riyad itself was sumptuous. We really appreciated the plunge pool in such hot weather and the fresh orange juice and cakes bought to us? Such decadence!!! Most of all, the staff were excellent, nothing was too much bother for them and we were treated so well with so much respect, help and politeness. They were so friendly and happy but always discreet. The food was excellent- Tariq is an excellent chef , one of the best we have ever encountered. So in all thank you so much for making our stay great. Mark and I will remember you all with warmth and respect. Anne and Mark Savage.

Stayed in the blue house. Family of four with two teenage boys. 3 bedrooms plus kitchenette (really useful fridge !) and a lovely central courtyard. Private rooftop terrace as well. Service impeccable. Ambience tranquil and the best location close to the souks and Jemaa el fna. Boys enjoyed the pool which was essential after a hot day in the souks. Didn't eat dinner here so can't comment but breakfast really nice.

We spent several days in the Palm Suite as part of our honeymoon, and enjoyed every minute!

The Riyad is perfectly situated in a small street in the old town: walking distance to all attractions, but very quiet. Several connected houses are grouped around several patios, and you will always find some privacy even if it is fully booked.
Furnished by a German diplomat and his colleague, the rooms are full of antiques and treasures from around the globe: antique Asian furniture, oriental kelims and ottoman chests are mixed with classic European design. All this objects are carefully arranged in spacious, gently renovated rooms. No wonder other travelers compared this Riyad to a museum!
The staff is unobtrusive, but working hard behind the scene to offer you delicious meals and to keep everything clean and tidy.

Word of advice: Riyad El Cadi is a very special place in a hustling city. Its walls dream of forgotten ages and it has this distinctive atmosphere of sophisticated, colonial days long past. What might look to you as a bit worn out is in fact the breath of history – it is a true gem. But if you are looking for a fancy, oriental accommodation as in Walt Disneys Aladdin, you will be disappointed.

We stayed at the Riyad El Cadi for 4 nights and 5 days in mid-July, (low season), in the Palm Suite, (a senior suite). The Riyad is located at few minutes walking distance from the main square, ‘Place Jemaa el Fna’ in the Marrakech Medina.

Our suite was clean and spacious, with the lived-in feel of an apartment, rather than a guest house or hotel. If you prefer some cultural aspects to your room décor, then you will enjoy the rooms and suites of the Riyad, which are not over-themed, but tastefully decorated with many beautiful and authentic pieces of art and furniture.

The central courtyard and communal seating areas were also charming and peaceful. Our suite was cleaned daily, and our bedroom was decorated with rose petals and a bouquet of roses on our wedding anniversary – a really lovely gesture!

The Riyad El Cadi staff took very good care of us and all aspects of our stay with them were very well organised: for example, the airport transfers, porter service, local directions, help with booking evening meals and a walking tour of the city, as well assistance with planning a day trip to the Atlas mountain nearby. The Riyad staff were approachable, and happy to assist us with our queries.

We had dinner at the Riyad on the first evening of our stay, which was delicious; considering that we subsequently dined at 3 well-regarded restaurants in the city during the rest of our stay, the Riyad food was actually tastier in my opinion. We also had a light lunch on the final day of our stay before leaving for the airport, which was also delicious – do book at least one of your meals at the Riyad if you stay there!

We really enjoyed visiting Marrakech and would happily recommend the city and staying the Riyad El Cadi.
