Owner description: Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

“Just lovely!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

What a great surprise, to find such beautiful gardens in Marrakech. The fountains with koi and turtles, the varied species of cacti, the mature trees and the Mediterranean colors used all over...just delightful. There is a wonderful boutique with gorgeous items...a feast for the eyes. There is also a cafe/restaurant at the Majorelle. This is really a most see during any visit to Marrakech. Definitely recommended.

“Peaceful sanctuary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

Although small, lovely, tranquil gardens with a modern and new Berber Museum inside. Nice cafe, although we didn't eat there, and clean toilets.50 Dh for garden entry and 25 Dh for the museum entry.

“Enjoyed visiting on both occasions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Ticket is slightly pricey but it is a good day out. Be prepared to walk slowly and spending a few hours there; not your sort of stuff if you don't appreciate nature. Found it cool even when it was hot outside during the day time - by courtesy of the lovely plants.

“Not huge, but so worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Perhaps an acre or two at the max, but nicely done. Killer thing to do there is enjoy lunch. Very fine avocado salad, and a pretty terrace to enjoy it. Same goes for the fries...

“3.756 really but can't give it 4”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

Bit underwhelmed to start with, especially after 50dhs [€5] each entry. But it grew on me. Not very big but a very pleasant space and shaded all over. Shame the entire gardens aren't open to public. Get a price for taxi outside before renting one - this is a prime tourist trap place. Easy to walk to and find - about 5 - 6 minutes west of Gare Routier just outside the walls.
