Owner description: Nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

On a hot June day this was a delightful place to visit. It is beautifully laid out, well kept with many interesting trees and plants. The Berber Museum was excellent and with ample information available on the exhibits. The "gift shop" was expensive but the cafeteria reasonable.

Loved the variety of plants! I suggest you to go around 5.15pm so you can still visit the museum inside and it's less hot. LThe light is less strengh at this time

“Beautiful”

Beautiful shade-filled gardens. The Berber museum on the grounds is worth paying the extra 25 dirhams to visit.

It is a very nice place to visit in the amazingly animated Marrakesh. It is an oasis of tranquility and relaxation.

“Outstanding gardens in the shade”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Other than Spain's Alhambra, I can't think of gardens I've enjoyed more than these. Dominated by tall green bamboo, but containing a wide variety of unusual plants, there's a lovely artistic quality about these gardens, derived from alignment and colour. The cool flowing water and ponds enhance the experience. There's also an excellent museum about the Berber culture in the grounds, well worth a visit.
