“Fabulous, simple and home cooked food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

WE made a special trip to Amal from the Medina via Taxi, but the driver had no clue where it was. Eventually we found the restaurant and we were welcomed and treated to a really wonderful meal, prepared and cooked in a traditional way. It was worth the trip and we would return.
The environment was relaxed and friendly, worth the trip by kamikaze taxi and highly recommended for both food quality and value. Make the trip and make a difference to the women it educates supports. Well done Nora!

“Homey atmosphere & great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

If I lived in Marrakech, this would be my perfect daily hangout! The staff is super friendly. I have had many meals there during my current stay. Including some dishes I have never tried before. The food presentations are great. I love the fact that they have a Kidz Corner where kids have made some really cool bird feeders and butterflies. The fresh flowers on the tables are a nice touch. You can always find a sunny spot in the garden to enjoy the sun. The bathroom is nice and clean. I would definitely recommend a visit to this place.

“Fantastic food and fantastic staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

This is just a wonderfull place. It is possiple for a very good price to have a really good meal and in the same time support an organisation who is helping women in different ways.

I have been in Marrakech for about a week and have had my lunch in this place 5 times I think. You feel just so velcome.

Have to go home on saturday but I'll have my lunch one more time tomorrow and then I have to find out when I can find a flight back here so I can have a fantastic lunch again.

Thank you all in Amal. I'll be back

“Worth a trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013

The Association is approximately a ten minute straight walk from the Majorelle gardens. It is clean and peaceful, very tastefully decorated and comfortable to relax there for a long time. The manager was a generous host who explained how the Association helps women and our family (3 teens) certainly gained a great deal from this pre-dinner education! The food was served in very generous portions; chicken tagine and beef tagine - couscous was perfect. we had some sweet pasteries and green tea after this. All through our evening the ladies who served were very courteous and the overall experience was delightful. Thumbs up from all our family - a meaningful place to eat!! would recommend to everyone.
