We travelled to Tnine at the start of the Ourika Valley on the no.25 bus in order to see something of the area without the hassle of hard-sells perpetrated by the tour companies and taxis. Bus journey was great, although we were the only tourists on a packed bus (7DH, and they give change readily). At the final stop, just cross back over the river and follow the sign on the right opposite the gendarmerie. It's a good 15-min walk with the occasional greeting from a coin-hungry small girl or two but very pleasant. The garden itself looked closed but when we pushed the gate a girl beckoned us in and sent us over to the cash desk. We then had the whole place to ourselves and had a fantastic little walk before a mint tea and biscuits magically arrived. Seating areas are idyllic including a Berber-style tent. The shop is expensive but full of nice cosmetics. Just don't be tempted to munch on the almonds left on the table. They are argan nuts and bitter as hell!
