“Great service, excellent location, lovely stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014 via mobile

My boyfriend and I are both 17 and stayed in riad la casa in june 2014. The riad is in an excellent location, just a 5-10 minute walk to the square (place jeema al fna) with restaurants and the souks. Its in walking distance to the mellah (jewish district) and the tanneries (where they make leather) too! Cristelle was very accomodating and helpful with all aspects of our stay. Our room was cleaned every day and the breakfasts and dinner we had were lovely. Would definitely recommend the riad and would stay here again. For anyone planning on going, I'd say take cristelles advice! She can book excursions and recommend good restaurants for you, dont book excursions through an agency as we were ripped off on our trip to ourika valley! Overall a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a weekend break and chose this riad after reading many positive reviews on Tripadvisor.

On arrival in Marrakech, we quickly found the prebooked taxi, who drove us the short distance to the Medina, where Christelle met us and guided us back to the Riad on foot.

A top tip would be to take up the offer of a taxi arranged by the riad, as you will see when you go there, the Medina is an absolute maze of tiny alleys and taxi drivers don't always know where an actual riad is, nor can all streets by accessed by car. Therefore, whilst more expensive then a normal cab, we certainly thought it money well spent to have Christelle meet us. After being shown the way, it is quite easy to navigate back to the riad yourself.

We had a nice dinner at the riad shortly after arriving, along with some lovely mint tea and Christelle gave us detailed directions on how to reach the Djema El Fna, where we went for a night time walk. She also showed us the main sites on a map and gave us some recommendations.

The square is an easy 5 minute walk away, which is handy as the square is a centre of the Medina, so you can find your way back to the square then the riad in turn easily enough, wherever you are.

We found the room to be clean and charmingly decorated, as was the case with the rest of the riad. The courtyard was quite nice and cool during the day and we enjoyed relaxing there and dipping our feet in the cool plunge pool after a hot day walking around the city.

The only negative, was that our room, Songo, didn't have AC, which we knew already, but did mean it could be stuffy, so I'd opt for one of the other rooms if I was to visit again.

Overall, we enjoyed the food, found the riad to be clean and comfortable, in a good location and well priced. However, the biggest asset, by far, was the owner Christelle. She was very helpful and friendly, always willing to try and assist in whatever way possible and ensure we were having a good time.

Both her (and her friend Claudia who was staying) were great fun and having met them and sharing some entertaining chats and laughs was as much a highlight of this trip as the amazing sights, sounds and smells of Marrakech itself!

A friend and I stayed here for four nights - I've been to Marrakech many times and I can honestly say this is the best raid I've stayed at in the medina. Christelle is fantastic and really understands the needs of an overseas tourist! I'll be back!

We had a very nice stay at the Riad la Casa. The riad has a great location; it takes less than five minutes to walk to the Jamaa el Fna, and all the biggest tourist attractions of Marrakech are within walking distance.

Christelle was extremely helpful and helped organize everything from day trips to a visit in a hammam. We also had dinner at the riad one night, and that meal was one of the best we had during our vacation.

The only minus is that we had expected there to be a pool which there isn't. As long as you're aware of that, we can very much recommend the riad.

Hello to you both!
A real pleasure to share this experience with you! thank you for your nice and pleasant message for the whole team. Of the pool, we filled today. We always fill the end of April, for several reasons. It's still cool and it can still rain often. In fact we had a big storm in Marrakech there 2 days. The time is suitable for beginning bagnade May Before we save the water that is useless in the basin, we fill flower until the swimming season .... Because water is precious in Morocco! Again thank you for having chosen Riad Casa vote for adventure in Morocco! return because Morocco is vast and still full of discoveries waiting you ..
A big thank you to all the team and hope to welcome you again in sunny Morocco!

Just come back from yet another stay at this beautiful riad with fantastic atmosphere and welcoming hosts. And each and every time I visit, it just gets better and better :-) Marrakech is a wonderful city but staying at the right place and having the right people to help you get around is making it even more special. See you again in May!

Room Tip: Mosquito and Mirandes are my favourite ;-)

Great place at a great price! Situated in the centre of Medina makes this place great location-wise! While the tour around Marrakech is exciting and absolutely unique experience you may need to take a break and that's what you can do in Riad la Casa. Comfortable rooms and beautiful terrace enable you to charge your batteries before your next excursion! The stuff is very helpful with lots of advice always there when needed! Don't forget to ask Cristelle (the owner) for Moroccan tea! You will only want more!

This was my first time in Morocco. Cristelle was very helpful and willing to assist me in any way to make my stay more enjoyable. She organized a massage, a tour guide, and anything else I needed. Her staff also helped me buy higher quality items at a better deal.

The riad is located close to Jemaa el-Fnna (main market) in the Medina (old quarter of the city). The riad also coordinated my airport pick-up and drop-off. Upon arriving, Cristelle served me traditional mint tea. As part of my reservation, breakfast was included and prepared according to my schedule. It was a traditional Moroccan breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice.

I had such a wonderful time in Morocco and would definitely recommend this riad to all my family and friends. Thank you!
