The souks in Marakech is truly a wonderful and very interesting place and an experience second to none! From the Jamaa el Fna square with its snake charmers, orange juice stalls, people with monkeys on ropes, ladies doing henna tattoos, horse and carriages to the tiniest of shops selling everything from food, to hair products, to brass, to clothes, to live animals, jewelry, lamps and furniture and meat, it is a complete overload on the senses. It is a total mad-house in the little alleys with hundreds of pedestrians, to donkeys with carts, mopeds, people on bicycles and children running. To get lost in the souks is a wonderful experience, but for me one day would be enough!
