“A reliable cafe in the square”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

Spent a week in Marrakech, ate at quite a few different places, returned a few times to this one. Friendly sevice, English spoken, decent food, clean cutlery, excellent value [like most of Marrakech] My wife visited the toilets which were very clean and paper was provided. The location means you can watch the activities in the square without being hassled.
Expect a good value friendly cafe in unique surroundings.

“No service. Average food.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

I came here in the morning to have some breakfast and sat down outside. I waited 10 minutes but did not once see a waiter so I left.

I came back in the afternoon as they have wifi. It took five minutes to get service and the place wasn't busy. While eating I had to ask 3 times with two different staff members for a second drink before it arrived. Then when it arrived the waitress left it on the table fully sealed. It was a glass bottle with a metal cap that needs a bottle opener to open.

I ordered the chicken sandwich. It tasted ok but the chips as a side dish were terrible.

As I am writing this review a table of people just left because of no service. Not a good experience at this place.

“Awful service, no food, nice mats”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

We came to this place very hungry and we sat down. We ordered water and after 20 minutes still wasn't there although the people near us came 10 minutes after us and got water straight away. We soon realised that no one in the whole restaurant had food and there were about 30 people there. We then ordered our food, but half the menu wasn't available. We then kept waiting and still didn't receive anything but a mat each. The staff were also non-engaging. I would strongly advise not coming to this disgrace of a restaurant.

“Lunchtime respite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

A welcome respite form the intensity of the Moroccan sun with canopies out and mist sprays. Lunch was always pleasant (if a little slow on the service side but I guess if you are fasting from 4Am to 8:30PM with not even a drink of water in 40+ degrees you wouldn't be the sprightliest either) generally a quick omelette washed down with a coke and mineral water was sufficient to face the second half of the day!
