“don't get lost!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

Winding alleys, lots of merchants, much repetition of wares, actually cleaner than in some other medinas in Morocco.

“So very unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013 via mobile

Nothing quite compares to the uniqueness of the ancient medina of Marrakech, just make sure you are a savvy tourist and read up on all of the street acts before you go, or you will end up paying 10x to 15x the going rate for anything from a picture with a monkey to a taxi ride.

“Winding alleyways and market stalls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

The medina is a maze of tiny alleyways through which motorcycles somehow manage to slalom through a sea of people.

There are market stalls selling everything from mass produced tourist tat to dates and nuts, and on some streets you can see locals do their shopping, which means there is at least some authenticity behind the big carnival put on for the sake of outsiders.

“Amazing Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

This is a full experience of the senses- during the day its a lively trading centre - with traders unashamedly drawing you in to buy their wares. Snake charmers, people selling everything under the sun - including a dentist selling real teeth !!! The freshly squeezed orange is gorgeous. During the evening it's just as lively with Moroccan lamps lit up - dancers and snail soup for sale. We took in the night scene by sitting on a roof terrace having mint tea.
