Loved shopping in the souks- would need two weeks just for shopping! Even if you're not a shopper its still definately a trip you have to make. Don't show that you're intersted in anything even if you are, keep it cool and casual and reserved that way you won't get harrased. If you like something, don't show it! Think of how much you want to pay before hand, then haggle away. Don't be afraid to walk away without buying even if you have spent a while haggling. Shop arround before hand to see what going rates are then go for it.

“Go to say that you have been... Then get away fast!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

It is an experience but it becomes annoying very quickly! The vendors, the monkey handlers, the henna artist, the snake charmers are too pushy and overbearing! Just looking is not and option, they bug you to death! Beware of the guys who want to show you around! They are not being "nice" they will ask for money in the end!

“Lovely week in Marrakech”

This is where all shopping happens.
Prepare yourself to bargain and bargain for everything. The 1st prices are always 4 to 5 more than you pay, so bargain!

“Interesting at first...then repetitive.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Lots of sights and sounds, but we found the place a bit of a hassle during the day and sketchy at night unless you are in very touristy areas. After you've seen the following stores; local dress and shirt shops, shoe (slipper shops), bag shops, wood shop, lamp shops, pottery shops, metal work shops, spice shops, olive shops, rip off pharmacies selling watered down products, carpet shops, a few fake clothing/football shirt shops then I'd suggest getting a taxi back to your hotel and thinking if your trip to Marrakech was really worth all that money. Save some of the trip and visit Jardin Marjorelle.
