“No hassle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

You'd obviously get asked to buy things but no chasing if you said no. People are so friendly :D

So much to see if you can find your way around, recommend a guided tour.

“Rock the Kasbah shop - fair fixed prices, fluent English, no pressure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Check out Julia's shop, Rock the Kasbah. She is a Brit living in Marrakech and has a lovely shop. Unlike the exhausting high pressure tactics employed by the other shop owners Julia is low key. She has fixed prices and nice things to buy.

Go to Café Arabe, put it on your right and walk straight. She is right down the path towards the Tomb Sidi Abd el Aziz, located on the left hand side. If you encounter several bollards in the road you have gone too far.

“The begging is draining!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

What can I say you are robbed cheated begged and all in the sweltering heat. However it's got lots of nice little souvenirs and lots of keepsakes at a good price once u haggle it down. Be warned... Offer at least a 1/3 o what they ask for, if they say no walk away! They'll gladly accept what u offer once they see your serious!!! Would recommend a quick visit for something to do.

“Attacks all the senses...a must visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Although you can visit all day, this place comes alive at night.
The hustle of all mankind is found in the Souk and if you wish to buy, the game is HAGGLING.

Never pay the asking price as you will usually be able to barter for a much lower price agreed by both you and the owner. BUT decide what you wish to,buy before you enter the Souk or you may find you also have several camels, toy ones that is, in your luggage on the way home.

There are several food vendors in the Souk but hygiene is not of European standard so best to visit one of the many restaurants. Just go with your feeling when choosing.
