“Tiny yet delightful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Off the beaten path but a charming and interesting small museum. Worth the walk and the search to find it. Other good places nearby as well.

“A real rabbit warren of fun.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

It is a must to walk through the souk, but it is probably inevitable that you will get lost in the narrow winding streets! There are different areas for different businesses, for example metal work, leather work, food, shoes, wood work, tailoring etc. But it really is a fascinating place to see and haggle in.

Once you find this gem you won't be disappointed! Fantastic to see some of the past history. Difficult to find as not well signposted.

“Great display of textiles and everyday objects.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

This is a small private museum with a yellow sign over the door, it's between the Palais Bahia and the Dar Si Said Museum. Don't be put off by the dark entrance down a few steps or rogue "tour guides" standing outside trying to suggest you go else where! The collection is great and they even have an info folderin english. The objects are housed in basic display cases but you can really view the craftsmanship close up. It takes about half and hour to see all. There were no tour groups here so we mostly had the place to ourselves.

“Eclectic mix or Saharan Art”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

It is difficult to find this small house, situated down a narrow side street but if you like traditional artifacts this would amuse for an hour or so. Rather verbose fact sheets in English are provided for the 9 display rooms. Some of the exibits are immpressive, especially the carvings and headwear. 20 Dhirams per adult.
