bit sad seeing snakes/monkeys/vultures being so heavily handled for tourist photos. Food stalls bit of a major let down and very pricey, so not sure what the big hype was about. However it is where the souks begin so all good.

“a wild ride!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

it was still chilly when we were there, so there weren't many performers out at night, but the performers were unlike anything we've seen- and the food!!!!! you must go. You'll never see anything like it again.

“Perfect ending for Morocco Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

It's an open market place, the most popular touristic attraction in the city of Marrakech with many traditional Moroccan performances and an ambience that is never found except in this ancient square established 10 centuries ago

“Just go there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

This is a most wonderful place, but even more so in the evening. The noise is incredible and the hustle and bustle is all around. You must eat off the stalls. The assistants attached the stalls come out with wonderful phrases like - they are Jamie Olivers brother! Wonderful stalls stacked up with oranges, selling fresh orange juice and stalls selling dates, apricots and such wonderful things. If you dont go you have missed something really unique

“Has gto be experienced at night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

The sounds and smells are a unique experience. Not hassled as much as we were 6 years ago. Had a drink in one of the restaurant terraces. Note that you have to eat to get a window seat, but you can still see and experience the square. A drink is a soft drink, no alcohol is served if you can be seen.
