“Comes alive at night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

This is a must while in Marrakech. While it is a busy place during the day, it really comes to life at night filled with thousands of people. Would recommend having drink at one of the rooftop terrace watching the world go by and eating at the stalls (we ate at number 1). Just beware when taking pictures or even just watching all performers including acrobats, monkey handlers, snake charmers etc...as well as people wearing traditional costumes as nothing is free. Once they see you're looking you're paying!!!

“Eat what local eats!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

The food market itself dose not start until at least 6pm in the evening. Amazing food at the stalls and we ate many times there throughout our trip. The best stalls usually only have one or two people only outside holding their menus and they won't push you inside. One of the stalls at the connor (number 31?) was packed with locals buying takeaway and we had the best food there. The snail and soup are both worth trying and the orange juice is a must every night.

“Marrakesh at night...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

The square is a must see. I ate here most evenings i was in Marrakesh; at stalls 1 and 25...(more times at the latter) - it is the place for cheap food - yet tasty. A real atmosphere at night - a visual feast. Just keep a good sense of humour - don't let henna tatooists near you unless you want them to ink you...take photographs carefully or with permission ...If you get orange juice ask for plastic cups to keep your stomach safe:) For solo travellers - a great spot where you would never feel lonely.

“Good, but was not able to be visited by the time I went”

It was quite nice, but was not able to be visited by the time I went, so it was such a shame we could not get inside. Maybe next time

“Chaotic paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Amazing place to see especially at night!Impossible to explain to others as its not just about the photos. It's all the sounds and smell as well.Go to a rooftop terrace to have some mint tea which seems to be a signature non-alcoholic drink and enjoy the views. Just a word of warning: Be careful where you look or you'll be followed by all the "lovely entertainers" demanding payment for you looking at them or taking pictures of them.
