“Crazy and exciting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Snake-charmers, monkeys, musicians, henna artists, food stalls- it was a wonderful experience. The centre of Marrakech, really comes to life at night.

“Lose yourself in the labyrinth of the souk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Endless shops with everything you can imagine for sale! You will get sollicitated from all directions. Bargain hard and hold your price. If you don't get it, another guy down the street will offer the same stuff - try again!

“See it at least once”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

When crowded with drummers, dancers, acrobats, monkeys and snake charmers it's complete madness. But uit's been like that since ancient times and the Moroccans come from all over to see the spectacle.

“Food food and more orange juice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Hectic in evening, food quality however excellent on all stalls we ate at. Argue the bill price however. Orange juice men excellent and well worth several visits.

“Has to be seen, to be believed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Nothing can prepare you for the assault on your senses of the main square in Marrakech. Get there before dusk to take a drink on the terrace of one of the cafe's that overlook the action and watch as people assemble, and the small businesses set themselves up for the evening - as the lights go on, you'll see story tellers, snake charmers and food stalls setup for the night around the edges of the crazy souks.

Only when it gets dark should you venture down into the square to experience the noise and spectacle of the street entertainment, or take a stroll through the food vendors who will try and get you to sit at their stalls in almost every language of the world!

If you dare - sample some smoked sheeps head, snail soup - or maybe just some freshly fried fish, grilled meat and cous-cous in the open air stalls that are an amazing sight.

An amazing place - worth the trip to Marrakech on its own...
