Owner description: The Saadian Tombs are located just outside Marrakech and were constructed during the reign of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur in the late 16th century. This is the resting place of al-Mansur, his family, and other notable officials from that era. These tombs were discovered in 1917; restoration began shortly thereafter. Today, much of its original splendour has been restored.

“Good attraction but lacks information”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Only costs 10 Dirhams to get in. It will only take you about 30 minutes to visit as there is no information to read as you go round so unless you have read about the Saadian tombs on the internet or in guide books you will walk round wondering what it is all about. But for the price you can't complain. This attraction is near the koutoubia mosque and the fixed price shop.

“Not worth visiting”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

This was the worst tour stop that we've ever been to. None of the tombs were marked and the areas looked like empty rooms with ceramic tiling on the floor. We were expecting something elaborate. Extremely disappointing!

“to enjoy away from the crowd”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

A delightful place, if you manage to visit it when the crowd is gone or not yet arrived. The atmosphere of the place is intimate and peaceful, and the royal tombs are so beautiful they deserve to be seen without anybody pushing for their turn.

“Impossible to find!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Walked for ages around the area with a map and could not find it! Ended up getting lost in the back alleys nearby and pestered by kids waiting to pounce and give directions to get out the maze for cash.

“Must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

These tombs are one if the most beautiful things I have seen in Marrakech. The entrance to it is a bit hidden but you'll see some market stalls and a shop on the corner with a man trying to sell you a guide when you come out again. Just walk through to the till and buy a ticket for 10dhm. You enter through a tiny alley to come out in a beautiful courtyard. All coloured tiles are around you and the entrances are beautifully decorated with tiles and wood carvings.
