“A true gem: perfect in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2009

We came back to the riad after 3 years (simply because we had no time), but were 'regulars' before that and intend to be again.

It was like coming home: still as beautiful, service still perfect, still as unique. Oh, and food to die for.

We've stayed at other riads over the years (but only because we were on flying visits at short notice and there was 'no room at the inn' - it's THAT good). Nothing comes even close, perhaps because Jean-Luc was one of the first to create such a place and really understands the concept. And what's more, he insists on superb standards and well-trained staff, and it shows.

So, our thanks and congratulations to the entire team: Jean-Luc and Martine, Hafid, Rachid and Abdel for making a 5-day break so perfect. We'll be back!

NOTE: Jean-Luc and Martine are opening up another riad in the mountains and we can't wait to see it next spring

“Beautiful riad!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2009

An amazingly beautiful riad, down a few cobbled streets away from the hectic souqs. The art deco style adds a different feel making the stay special. Would certainly recommend it particularly for couples. Everyone was very friendly and we were well looked after. It was very expensive especially drinks and extra meals, but as a treat, why not!

“Simply Breathtaking.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2009

It is an amazing oasis in the middle of Marrakech. The art deco style of the Riad makes staying here a pure pleasure, a peaceful resting spot in a bustling city. The staff are friendly, attentive and extremely helpful and the food is delicious- authentic moroccon style. It is well worth staying here.

“An amazing Oasis in the middle of the Medina”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2009

Riad Malika was FANTASTIC - simple as that!

The place is tucked away in a web of back alleys, but you find your way round soon enough! It is actually two old houses joined together and has been beautifully finished in a 1970s Colonial art deco style!

There are two interior courtyards - one leafy with trees where you can have breakfast, and another with a small splash pool - definitely big enough to cool off from the Medina heat!

The staff are BEYOND friendly, and will do their best to make you feel right at home. The rooms are clean and private and have air con which was fantastic!

Breakfast here is amazing, with pancakes, bread, fresh ornage juice, hot strong coffee and home made yoghurt being some of the things on offer.

I would absolutely come back, it was really one of the highlights of our trip!

“I wish I could live here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2009

This place was recommended to me by my best friend's cousin who is an architect and really into design. I had done a bunch of research, but hadn't stumbled onto this place on my own. I'm really glad she told us about this riad because it’s the coolest boutique hotel I've ever seen. Furnished with rare 60's and 70's house wares, which truly gives the place a unique style and feel. Riad Malika also serves some killer breakfast, is in a great location (although it can be a little confusing to find at first), and has a really fun, laid back atmosphere. The pool is also really cool. Our group of 4 stayed here for three nights (we're in our late 20's/30's) and we could not be more pleased. One of the rooms had a private rooftop patio and our junior suite was larger than my NYC apartment. We were made to feel at home and it was a relaxing place to hide from the bustling streets of Marrakech. I would go back in a heartbeat. In fact, I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else.
